Cadence Academy Preschool in Sicklerville, NJ offers comprehensive childcare programs for children ages 6 weeks through 6 years old.
We offer a learning environment in which children develop confidence, compassion, and encouragement for each other. Cadence Academy Preschool’s early childhood curriculum exposes children to life skills, language development, fine and gross motor skills, arts and crafts, music and movement, science, and mindful breathing.
We believe children are partners with us to create the best learning environment. A combination of direct instruction, learning through play, and of course, fun is used to encourage curiosity and instill a sense of security.
At Cadence Academy Preschool, our infant program provides a warm, nurturing, and safe environment. Our program goes beyond traditional infant childcare and daycare and introduces education to your child at an early age.
Unlike traditional daycares, Cadence Academy Preschool focuses on skill-building and education, while encouraging free expression. The goal of our toddler curriculum is to transition the children from a day care atmosphere to a classroom environment. As early as 2.5 years old, we begin to introduce alphabet recognition, early sight words, math concepts, and sign language. Our teaching staff provides opportunities for toddlers to explore and develop in a safe environment.
Preschool and Pre-K
Our Preschool and Pre-K programs become much more structured with daily scheduled activities that last 20 to 30 minutes. At Cadence Academy Preschool in Sicklerville, NJ all classrooms are run by certified teachers to ensure a rich learning environment.
Our state certified Kindergarten program is a full day with extended care included. The small class sizes allow for one-to-one attention not possible with larger classes in public schools. Individualized programs are created to ensure each child succeeds in reaching their full potential before entering first grade.
Cadence Academy Preschool is proud to provide an exceptional preschool education every fun-filled day in a place as nurturing as home.
My son has been going to school here for about a month now. This was his first time going to school since staying home with me and they have been great so far! Very welcoming. His teacher Ms. Alicia is amazing and has helped make my sons transition more pleasant for the both of us. Lots of communication, I get such detailed updates everyday via the parent portal and at the end of the day when I pick him up. I also really appreciate that they let kids be kids here, surprisingly that's not always the vibe you get at every pre k school. Overall, very happy I chose this place for our first experience.

To make a long story short: I informed the director and owner of my son's speech delay and I asked if the school was equipped to teach children with delays and other special needs. The response was a resounding, "YES!" The truth is they were not. My son's teacher regularly sent notes home regarding challenges that she encountered while teaching him and she would always end the note with, "I understand that there is a speech issue. We will keep trying." That does not sound like someone who is equipped to teach a toddler with a speech delay. It sounds like someone who is just "trying". After some time, my son starting throwing very passionate tantrums every time I dropped him off at the school. That was our cue to unenroll.
Another issue that made us feel uneasy was the inconsistency in courtesy. During our tour and registration, the director was quite nice, but after we enrolled she ignored us when we greeted her (unless she was giving a prospective student and family a tour of the school at which point she was all too eager to say hello to us). Also my son's teacher was wonderful in many ways, but some of the people who filled in for her were not. When I'd bring my son to school, they didn't greet him and at times they wouldn't even provide a chair for him to sit in. When I called attention to this, the reaction was a sigh and a huff. I guess I was asking for too much???
All in all-
They lied to us to obtain our business, they did not have the resources to teach my son, and they didn't take the time to assess him to ensure that this school was suitable for his needs.

Amazing staff and facilities. We have had our son here for a year and plan to start our second son within the next few months. Couldn’t be happier!
