We are pleased to share this Q&A with Amy, our School Director in Loganville, Georgia. Amy was recently promoted to be the Director and answered a few questions for us to share with all of you!

Q: What do you like best about your position with Cadence Education?
A: Building a relationship with the new families and staff

Q: What made you want to be a Director?
A: I love working in childcare and with children but after 11 years in the classroom I decided I wanted a change. Moving into an admin position I was able to still spend time with the children but not confined to a classroom all day.

Q: What should someone consider who is hoping to move into a Director role with Cadence?
A: Being a Director is very time consuming and stressful at times. It comes with lots of added responsibility, but it is also very rewarding.

Q: What made you want a career in childcare?
A: I have worked in childcare my whole life. I left for a brief time and decided it was best for me to return to childcare when my husband and I had our first child.

Q: How did you react when you received the promotion into the Director position?
A: I was grateful for the opportunity and excited to start something new.

Q: What do you hope to accomplish in the next 6 months as the Director?
A: I hope to get the curriculum implemented and my enrollment up.

Q: Tell us about your funniest childcare experience.
A: I have had the privilege of working alongside several of my very best friends for many years now. We have laughed until we cried and cried until we laughed. It is hard to pick just 1 time.

Q: What is your favorite time of day at work and why?
A: I love to greet the children each morning as they arrive.
