Oconomowoc Cadence Academy Preschool: The Best Choice
Our top priority is safety for every child, which is why we utilize a clean air filter system with a germicidal light. This is designed to kill up to 90% of germs, bacteria, viruses, fungi, and mold in the air. We also use video cameras for observation and training for all our staff. We have a carefully monitored indoor playland and outdoor play equipment, which offer a huge variety of pretend play options as well as age appropriate climbing equipment to develop balance, strength, and agility.

Ascend Curriculum
Thanks to the flexibility of our Ascend Curriculum, we take an individualized approach to early childhood education and encourage every child to progress towards age-appropriate goals at their natural pace. New skills are introduced sequentially in 9 different learning domains each month and activities are modified to fit the interests and current skill level of each child. This skill-based approach to early education ensures that every child feels engaged, supported, and challenged and makes learning fun!
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer

Cadence KickStart™ Soccer is a high-energy enrichment program designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork through fun, age-appropriate soccer play. Led by the teachers your child already knows and trusts, it’s seamlessly built into the school day.

Cadence Academy Preschool in Oconomowoc (formerly All About Learning) is located just 2 blocks North of I-94 and Hwy 67, just next door to the Steins Garden Center.

Holly Schmitz
School Director
Holly Schmitz is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel secure and families feel confident and supported. She loves watching each child grow and believes in adapting teaching approaches to meet every child’s unique learning style, helping build a strong foundation for both learning and community. She began her career in early childhood education in 2010 and has grown from classroom teaching into leadership. She earned her associate degree from NWTC-Green Bay and her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education-Leadership from Rasmussen University, and now leads her center with experience, education, dedication, and heart. Outside of school, Holly enjoys spending time with her family and cats, watching Wisconsin sports, and baking sweet treats.

Assistant Director
Early childhood education has always been my passion, and I have been doing it my entire adult career. I studied ECE at the University of Milwaukee and have worked in various roles in the field from four-year-old kindergarten to daycare management.
My partner Forrest and I, have two children, Kai and Aria. We like to spend as much time as possible outside, whether its playing in the backyard or exploring the local hiking trails.
Carol Buth
Cook
Carol Buth celebrates over 30 years with Cadence Academy Preschool, serving as a Cook and crucial pillar at her school in Oconomowoc. She graduated from the University of Madison with a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy. She began her journey with Cadence when her son was in elementary school, having moved buildings and companies. She loves to visit all of the classrooms to bring nutritious snacks and meals to the children. In the afternoon, she loves to help with infants breaks and playing with them.
Outside of school, she loves to be outside, walking in the fresh air, especially on supervised walks with her two cats! She also loves cleaning, organizing, doing puzzles and playing card games. She enjoys working with all her coworkers, and all the Cadence families are very important in her life.

The National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAC) is a national accreditation program that was developed for early care and educational programs. NAC offers early childhood leaders the opportunity to demonstrate and document quality performance using research-based criteria and evidence-based practices. The National Accreditation Commission provides a comprehensive, ongoing quality improvement system and accredited schools must meet standards in the following 6 component areas: Administration, Family Engagement, Health and Safety, Curriculum, Interactions between Teachers and Children, and Classroom Health and Safety.
