Kids Connection offers a childcare program that focuses on the children and their individual needs. We follow the Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards which fosters social and academic learning. We have been providing quality early childhood education and care to families since 2000. We believe that a positive early childhood experience is crucial to a child’s development. Our programs are designed to help children learn at their own pace. Group activities are designed with the developmental needs of each age group in mind.
A good deal of time is allotted for children to explore the various interest centers in their classroom. Providing a program that fosters early educational learning, positive social interaction and working to achieve age appropriate milestones helps prepare our children for their future. We provide a nurturing and socially stimulating environment for children according to their age and individuality. We believe childhood is the beginning of many life adventures, and we provide the care that makes the difference.
At Kids Connection we understand that children learn in a variety of ways. As much as they can learn within our walls, they’ll learn an equal amount through their personal experience outside of our walls, in the community.
Ascend Curriculum
Thanks to the flexibility of our Ascend Curriculum, we take an individualized approach to early childhood education and encourage every child to progress towards age-appropriate goals at their natural pace. New skills are introduced sequentially in 9 different learning domains each month and activities are modified to fit the interests and current skill level of each child. This skill-based approach to early education ensures that every child feels engaged, supported, and challenged and makes learning fun!
Kind Child Program
Another significant part of our curriculum is our Kind Child program. Kind Child is a year-long program for children ages two and older that helps our teachers nurture and strengthen every child’s social and emotional skills. We have found that when we focus on the emotional well-being of each child in our care, we strengthen our school as well. We are confident that Kind Child will continue to strengthen the culture of our entire preschool center by elevating every child’s feelings of happiness, improving their well-being, and enriching their friendships.
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer
Big Fun. Little Players. Growing Confidence.
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer is a high-energy enrichment program designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork through fun, age-appropriate soccer play. Led by the teachers your child already knows and trusts, it’s seamlessly built into the school day.
Program Highlights:
Designed for ages 3–5
12-week program (once per week)
40–50 minute sessions
Builds balance, coordination, and motor skills

Kids Cafe Preschool Cooking Program
Cooking Up Confidence, One Recipe At A Time!
Kids Café is a hands-on cooking program where children explore new foods, build confidence, and develop essential life skills through fun, guided kitchen experiences.

Getting To Our Preschool
Our Mukwonago center is located at 130 Chapman Farm Blvd, Mukwonago, WI 53149, just off State Highway 83 (Rochester Street). We are situated conveniently near Clarendon Avenue Elementary and Prairie View Elementary Schools, as well as the open spaces of Field Park and local retail centers, making morning drop-offs and everyday errands highly convenient for neighborhood families.
Positioned moments from Interstate 43 and the Highway 83 corridor, our preschool ensures a smooth and straightforward commute for working parents heading northeast toward Waukesha, New Berlin, and greater Milwaukee, or south toward East Troy and Beloit.

Jessie Norton
School Director
Hello! My name is Jessie Norton, and I am the Director here at Kids Connection. It’s a pleasure to introduce myself to you! I grew up in the charming town of Mukwonago but moved to Sparta, Wisconsin, in 2011. After a few years there, my heart led me back home, and I returned to Mukwonago in 2017. My journey with the Kids Connection family began in 2005, and it has been a rewarding experience ever since. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, which has deeply enriched my career and passion for working with children. I have a wonderful husband named Jake, and together we are blessed with four beautiful children: Lillyanna, Kilee, Jayton, and Corbin. Our family also includes two beloved pets—a boxer-lab mix named Dave and a charming cat named Piper. They all add joy and laughter to our lives. I am truly excited to get to know you and your families. There is nothing more fulfilling than building a strong, supportive community where children can thrive.
Yoshi Konishi
Assistant Director
Yoshi Konishi began his journey in early childhood education as a senior in high school, working as an assistant teacher in a school-age program. From there, he steadily grew in the field, moving into teaching and later into leadership roles, including assistant director and director. He values early childhood education because it allows him to build personal connections with children and families while advocating for a field that truly shapes the future. Supporting children during these formative years and partnering with families is what makes this work meaningful to him.
Outside of school, Yoshi enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, watching movies, cooking, and participating in trivia. He describes himself as a people person and is excited to be part of a welcoming school community built on connection, collaboration, and shared care for every child.
Stephanie Montano
Lead Teacher
Stephanie Montano is celebrating over 30 years of teaching, having started her career in 1996. She studied Early Childhood Education at WCTC, and has loved being an educator because it has taught her how to make learning fun, and how to better help her students. Her favorite part of her career is seeing children she takes care of grow and learn. She loves seeing children she took care of took care of when she first started grown up and either become teachers at Kids Connection or bring their children and get to be their teacher and seeing them learn as they did. Outside of the classroom, she loves to volunteer for local charities, go to local hockey games, Milwaukee Milkman games, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys camping and fishing up north.
Ms. Susie
Teacher of the Year
I began my career in early childhood education in August 1999 as an assistant teacher in a 3-year-old classroom. Over time, I transitioned into a lead teacher role, and later served as an assistant director. While I valued the leadership experience, I realized my true passion was working directly with children each day which led me back to the classroom, where I currently serve as a 4K aide during the school year and as the lead teacher for wraparound care during the summer months. The excitement the children have to learn and try new things is what I love most about early childhood education. When they smile and feel proud of their accomplishments whether big or small, it makes me smile! Outside of work, I’m the youngest of four sisters and deeply value the importance of family. I’m a big kid at heart, and I believe that laughter makes life more joyful. My personal motto has always been to find the good in each day, something I try to pass on to the children I work with. I enjoy gardening, spending time with family and friends and I love the summer sun and swimming.
