Welcome to Kids Connection Childcare in Mukwonago
Kids Connection offers a childcare program that focuses on the children and their individual needs. We follow the Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards which fosters social and academic learning. We take pride in the service we provide and look forward to making a difference in the life of your family!

We have been providing quality early childhood education and care to families since 2000. We believe that a positive early childhood experience is crucial to a child’s development. Our programs are designed to help children learn at their own pace. Group activities are designed with the developmental needs of each age group in mind. A good deal of time is allotted for children to explore the various interest centers in their classroom.
Providing a program that fosters early educational learning, positive social interaction and working to achieve age appropriate milestones helps prepare our children for their future.
We provide a nurturing and socially stimulating environment for children according to their age and individuality. We believe childhood is the beginning of many life adventures, and we provide the care that makes the difference.
At Kids Connection we understand that children learn in a variety of ways. As much as they can learn within our walls, they’ll learn an equal amount through their personal experience outside of our walls, in the community.
Ascend Curriculum
Our Ascend Curriculum develops academic, physical, emotional, and creative skills and features activities in subjects such as Cultural Understanding, Baby Signs, Literacy, Mathematics, and Technology. We find that children learn best when activities are geared towards their interests. Our teachers are encouraged to individualize activities and engage in small group instruction so they can better respond to the needs and interests of each child. Even the youngest children in the infants program can benefit from the Ascend Curriculum.
In addition to our typical daycare and preschool programs, we offer care for school agers at Clarendon, Eagleville, Rolling Hills, and Section Elementary.

Jessie Norton
School Director
Hello! My name is Jessie Norton, and I am currently serving as the Interim director. It’s a pleasure to introduce myself to you! I grew up in the charming town of Mukwonago but moved to Sparta, Wisconsin, in 2011. After a few years there, my heart led me back home, and I returned to Mukwonago in 2017. My journey with the Kids Connection family began in 2005, and it has been a rewarding experience ever since. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, which has deeply enriched my career and passion for working with children. I have a wonderful husband named Jake, and together we are blessed with four beautiful children: Lillyanna, Kilee, Jayton, and Corbin. Our family also includes two beloved pets—a boxer-lab mix named Dave and a charming cat named Piper. They all add joy and laughter to our lives. I am truly excited to get to know you and your families. There is nothing more fulfilling than building a strong, supportive community where children can thrive.
Cassandra (Cassie) Lutze
Assistant Director
Cassandra Lutze is the Assistant Director at Cadence Academy Preschool, where she loves supporting children and families every day. She began her career in early childhood education in 2016 as an assistant teacher and has since grown into her leadership role. With a background in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin, Cass is passionate about creating a safe, caring, and encouraging environment where children can build confidence, discover their strengths, and thrive.
When she’s not at school, Cass enjoys spending time with her husband and son—whether exploring the outdoors or relaxing with a family movie night. She also loves shopping and doing arts and crafts. Cass wants families to know she’s always here to listen, answer questions, and provide support, making every family feel welcome and cared for.
Ms. Susie
Teacher of the Year
I began my career in early childhood education in August 1999 as an assistant teacher in a 3-year-old classroom. Over time, I transitioned into a lead teacher role, and later served as an assistant director. While I valued the leadership experience, I realized my true passion was working directly with children each day which led me back to the classroom, where I currently serve as a 4K aide during the school year and as the lead teacher for wraparound care during the summer months. The excitement the children have to learn and try new things is what I love most about early childhood education. When they smile and feel proud of their accomplishments whether big or small, it makes me smile! Outside of work, I’m the youngest of four sisters and deeply value the importance of family. I’m a big kid at heart, and I believe that laughter makes life more joyful. My personal motto has always been to find the good in each day, something I try to pass on to the children I work with. I enjoy gardening, spending time with family and friends and I love the summer sun and swimming.
