About Cadence Academy Preschool in San Antonio

Cadence Academy Preschool, Leon Springs is a Christian preschool that operated previously as a Mini Texans Christian Learning Center. We became part of the Cadence Education Family of Schools in September 2018 and changed our childcare center’s name from Mini Texans to Cadence Academy Preschool in January 2019. We still offer the same quality non-denominational, Bible-based childcare that Mini Texans is known for with Christian early childhood education programs for ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.

Abeka & Ascend Curriculums

Cadence Academy Preschool, Leon Springs utilizes both the Abeka Preschool Curriculum and Cadence’s own Ascend Curriculum. The Abeka Preschool Curriculum helps us provide our young preschool students with a Christ-centered education. Every subject is approached from a Christian perspective and Abeka uses both scriptures and biblical principles to illustrate concepts.

The Ascend Curriculum takes a skill-based approach to early childhood education and seeks to develop cognitive, physical, social-emotional and create skills across nine different learning domains such as Mathematics, Literacy, Physical Fitness, and Baby Signs. The Ascend Curriculum can be individualized to each child’s interests and current skill level and progressively builds skills so that children are set for success in elementary school and beyond!

Kind Child

We believe that children learn to be kind, treat others well, and are respectful when they consistently experience these traits firsthand. Kind Child is an important part of our monthly curriculum and a key part of our preschool’s culture as well. Our directors, teachers, and staff are dedicated to creating a preschool environment where kindness is the norm and everyone feels welcome and valued.
