Our Christian & Preschool Curriculums
At Cadence Academy Preschool, Grand Prairie, we are both Christian and traditional in our approach to education and our preschool utilizes both the Abeka and Ascend Curriculum. Abeka is dedicated to providing quality education from a Christian perspective. Abeka publications are built upon the firm foundation of scriptural truth and are written by Christian scholars who are well grounded in the practical aspects of teaching.
The Ascend Curriculum utilizes a skill-based approach to early childhood education, which allows us to take continually take steps in the emotional, social, creative, physical, and cognitive development of each child in our care. Every month, our teachers introduce new skills across nine different learning areas such as Mathematics, Literacy, Cultural Understanding, Physical Fitness, and Kind Child. Activities within the Ascend Curriculum can be modified to the current skill level and interests of each student so that each child feels engaged, challenged, and supported.
To further enrich your child’s preschool experience, we are pleased to offer a number of extra-curricular activities such as Stretch-N-Grow, Little Music Maker, Cyber 4 Kids Computer Class, and JD Mobile Gymnastics.
We believe preschool children thrive when there is a strong partnership between school and home. We have an open door policy at our childcare center and encourage our parents to visit their children at any time. Our school has many exciting activities and events for our children and families throughout the year so keep an eye out for events such as Trunk or Treat, Fall Fest, Easter Egg Hunt, Muffins for Mommy, and Donuts for Daddy.
