Our Christian & Preschool Curriculums
At Cadence Academy Preschool, Grand Prairie, we are both Christian and traditional in our approach to education and our preschool utilizes Ascend Curriculum.
The Ascend Curriculum utilizes a skill-based approach to early childhood education, which allows us to continually take steps in the emotional, social, creative, physical, and cognitive development of each child in our care. Every month, our teachers introduce new skills across nine different learning areas such as Mathematics, Literacy, Cultural Understanding, Physical Fitness, and Kind Child. Activities within the Ascend Curriculum can be modified to the current skill level and interests of each student so that each child feels engaged, challenged, and supported.
Special Activities
To further enrich your child’s preschool experience, we are pleased to offer a number of extra-curricular activities such as Stretch-N-Grow, Little Music Maker, Cyber 4 Kids Computer Class, and JD Mobile Gymnastics.
Family Involvement
We believe preschool children thrive when there is a strong partnership between school and home. We have an open door policy at our childcare center and encourage our parents to visit their children at any time. Our school has many exciting activities and events for our children and families throughout the year so keep an eye out for events such as Trunk or Treat, Fall Fest, Easter Egg Hunt, Muffins for Mommy, and Donuts for Daddy. If you’re looking for the best preschool in Grand Prairie, Texas look no further.

Our Team

Trina Walls
School Director
With over 10 years of experience in early childhood education, I am deeply passionate about nurturing young learners and helping them grow in a safe, engaging, and joyful environment. I hold a double master’s degree in Christian Leadership and Human Services and Family Counseling. My background not only reflects a strong foundation in child development but also a lifelong commitment to faith-based education. As a servant leader, I believe in leading with humility, compassion, and purpose—always putting the needs of our children, families, and staff first. I believe in the power of instilling Christian values early on and am dedicated to sharing the love and Word of God with our children in ways that are meaningful and age-appropriate. It is a true blessing to partner with families in supporting the unique growth and development of each child—spiritually, emotionally, and academically. I look forward to building meaningful relationships with you and your young scholars as we walk together in faith and learning.

Debbie Choe
Assistant Director
Debbie brings a wide range of experience to Cadence Academy Preschool in Grand Prairie. She previously opened and licensed a preschool from the ground up and served as its director for two years, giving her a deep understanding of what it takes to run a successful, supportive school. As a mom of three, Debbie relates to the highs and challenges of early childhood, and she brings that perspective into her work with both children and families. She’s especially skilled at helping deescalate challenging behaviors and supporting teachers through tough moments in the classroom. Debbie also has a background in veterinary care and professional photography, blending practical skills with a creative eye and a calm, compassionate approach. She’s proud to be part of a team that works together to make school a welcoming place for every child.

Stephanie Curran
Teacher of the Year
I began working in Early Childhood Education in 2010 and I am currently looking into Special Education. I like that every child is different, and they are comfortable being themselves around me and I can bring out the best in each child. In my free time I love spending time with family and friends. I love all things fitness and outdoors, reading, exploring new food places and playing video games.
