Cadence Academy Preschool, Grand Prairie was originally founded as Crayon Campus in February 1994. We moved to our present location near Robinson Road and West Chester Parkway in September 1999 and changed our name to Cadence Academy Preschool, Grand Prairie in January 2019. We continue to offer the same quality daycare and preschool programs that Crayon Campus was known for.
Thanks to the flexibility of our Ascend Curriculum, we take an individualized approach to early childhood education and encourage every child to progress towards age-appropriate goals at their natural pace. New skills are introduced sequentially in 9 different learning domains each month and activities are modified to fit the interests and current skill level of each child. This skill-based approach to early education ensures that every child feels engaged, supported, and challenged and makes learning fun!

We have an open door policy at our childcare center and encourage our parents to visit their children at any time. Debbie brings a wide range of experience to Cadence Academy Preschool in Grand Prairie. She previously opened and licensed a preschool from the ground up and served as its director for two years, giving her a deep understanding of what it takes to run a successful, supportive school. As a mom of three, Debbie relates to the highs and challenges of early childhood, and she brings that perspective into her work with both children and families. She’s especially skilled at helping deescalate challenging behaviors and supporting teachers through tough moments in the classroom. Debbie also has a background in veterinary care and professional photography, blending practical skills with a creative eye and a calm, compassionate approach. She’s proud to be part of a team that works together to make school a welcoming place for every child.

I began working in Early Childhood Education in 2010 and I am currently looking into Special Education. I like that every child is different, and they are comfortable being themselves around me and I can bring out the best in each child. In my free time I love spending time with family and friends. I love all things fitness and outdoors, reading, exploring new food places and playing video games.
My toddler has been attending Cadence Academy since September 2025 and so far we've had a good experience at this daycare. I've seen so much growth in my child's confidence, independence, and social skills. All the teachers have so far been great and nice to us. The staff are always very helpful and answer any questions in a professional matter. As I mentioned in this review, so far we feel very comfortable with the care my child is getting at Cadence Academy (Grand Prairie, Tx). I would recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe and learning environment!
