Emily Simmons

Assistant Director

I started working in early childhood about three years ago as a long term substitute for Pre-K at a charter school. I am now completing my second full school year as a Pre-K teacher at Mini Texans. What I like about early childhood education is that no day is ever the same as the day before. The children grow and change daily. I love getting to see the joy on their faces as they master a skill or learn something new. I am so excited to come to school everyday. I want each child and team member to know that I want to help them achieve their goals and grow to be their best selves. I hope that they always remember they don’t have to be THE best, they just have to the THEIR best.

In my free time, I like to spend time with my 9 year old son. We love to find new places to explore and build Lego creations. I enjoy singing and crafting. I love history and reading books about various periods in history.
