Our Preschool Facilities
Our preschool center was carefully designed with soothing colors, lots of natural light, age-appropriate equipment in every classroom, and murals painted by our featured artist, Stephen Williams. We have beautiful commercial kitchen with a chef who prepares a healthy lunch every day and snacks in the mid-morning and mid-afternoon. There’s a laundry facility on-site to launder soiled clothes and cloth diapers. This school also features an indoor gross motor skills area for those rainy Oregon days and a community room for enrolled families, which has a comfortable area for nursing mothers.
Our preschool features the same excellent programs embraced at our other schools such as the Ascend Curriculum, music and dance, Reggio Emilio inspired art, science, gardening, and drama. We regularly take walks in our local community and offer field trips to educational places such as the Oak Bottom Wildlife Refuge.
Family Involvement
We hope you will become involved by participating in classroom activities, joining us on field trips, and attending school events. Your participation broadens our child care programs and benefits our children and staff in a very special way. Parents are always welcome to visit their children at any time.

Laura Gordon
School Director
My passion has always been to work with children, to teach them ,and help them grow. When I was around 11, my mother started having me volunteer at her in-home daycare. It was during that time that I knew working with children was something I could easily do for the rest of my life. I would lead activities, help with tutoring, answer phone calls, prepare snacks, and often times, I’d even be the janitor!
Since that time, I’ve worked with children in many different arenas. During high school, I worked as an after school tutor and a weekend babysitter. From the ages of 19-20, I worked full-time at a summer camp & after school program and from 21-25, I worked with an International non-profit organization traveling the world, teaching English, music, art, and math to children in third-world countries.
I started as the Lead Teacher for our 1’s classroom, was promoted to AD and I currently serve as the School Director. I have truly enjoyed my time here and I hope to continue being a part of this great community!
