About Creative Kids Preschool in Brewster
Creative Kids has been committed to providing young children safe and nurturing learning environments since we opened our doors in January 2001. Creative Kids Brewster was our first location and we now have five centers that serve families throughout Hudson Valley.
Our schools are a welcoming place where every child can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Your child will participate in a wide variety of experiences where they’ll learn about themselves and the world around them.

Cadence KickStart™ Soccer
Big Fun. Little Players. Growing Confidence.
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer is a high-energy enrichment program designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork through fun, age-appropriate soccer play. Led by the teachers your child already knows and trusts, it’s seamlessly built into the school day.
Program Highlights:
- Designed for ages 3–5
- 12-week program (once per week)
- 40–50 minute sessions
- Builds balance, coordination, and motor skills
- Encourages listening, teamwork, and confidence
- No prior soccer experience needed
- Integrated into your child’s daily schedule

Kind Child
Kind child is a program that helps us attend to the emotional well-being of every child in our care. We focus on developing valuable character traits such as Thankfulness, Friendship, and a Positive Self-Image every two months and different social-emotional skills monthly. Our goal is to create positive friendships throughout our school and to strengthen every child’s social skills.
The Creative Curriculum
Creative Kids utilizes The Creative Curriculum® in our classrooms. The Creative Curriculum® helps our teachers create a high-quality learning environment where children can become creative, confident thinkers. This curriculum is grounded in 38 research-based objectives for development and learning, which support active learning in all developmental areas.
Before & After School
Creative Kids Brewster works directly with the Brewster Central School District to offer local elementary students a before and after school program. Our school is a stop on the bus route for the following schools:
- C.V. Starr Intermediate School – 20 Farm to Market Rd, Brewster, NY 10509
- John F Kennedy Elementary School – 31 Foggintown Rd, Brewster, NY 10509
- Henry H. Wells Middle School – 570 NY-312, Brewster, NY 10509

Our Team
Arlene Salvador
Assistant Director
Arlene Salvador began her career in early childhood education as a Preschool Teacher in high school, where soon after she worked as a Special Educator for many years in the public schools. It was there she realized that a better preschool experience was necessary for most of the children that entered Kindergarten. She then took a position at a large child care center in Stamford, CT as the Curriculum Coordinator and was hooked from that point on. She quickly moved to the role of Director of the Program and have served in this capacity at several Centers in CT, leading her to her current role as Assistant Director at Creative Kids Childcare Center, Brewster. She has earned her B.S. in Special Education and Child Study, as well as Certifications for Birth to 21 Special Education and PreK through 8th Grade Regular Education.
She loves watching each child grow and develop at their own page, and believes that being part of their “village” is a privilege. She would love her co-workers and families at Creative Kids to know that she loves what she does, she is humbled by the trust they put in her, and that she is excited to see how high everyone can soar! Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling, reading great stories, and creating interesting things.
