About Cadence Academy Preschool in Cherry Hill, NJ
Cadence Academy Preschool in Cherry Hill, NJ offers comprehensive childcare programs and is proud to provide an exceptional education every fun-filled day in a place as nurturing as home.
We are proud to lead the way in preparing children for kindergarten. Through our specialized curriculum and dedicated teachers, we strive to ensure that your child is not just ready for kindergarten, but ready to excel. In 2024, 100% of the Pre-K children assessed in our school demonstrated Readiness or Advanced Readiness for Kindergarten!
Infant Daycare
Our infant rooms are staffed with caregivers certified in both CPR and First Aid who create personalized schedules for each child. Because we believe in parental involvement, especially at this young age, we create a daily report at drop off each morning to follow throughout the day. We know it is difficult to leave your infant in someone else’s care all day, so we do as much as we can to keep you in control of your child’s experience.
Toddler Daycare
The toddler day care programs are a little more structured, while still encouraging free expression. As early as 2.5 years old, we begin to introduce math concepts, alphabet recognition, early sight words, and sign language while also concentrating on improving gross motor skills. The goal of our toddler curriculum is to transition the children from a day care atmosphere to a classroom environment.
Preschool and Pre-K
At Cadence Academy in Cherry Hill, NJ all classrooms are run by certified teachers to ensure a rich learning environment. Our Preschool and Pre-K programs are more structured with daily scheduled activities that last 20 to 30 minutes. Individualized programs are created based on skill level to encourage all children to love learning and to be prepared to excel in Kindergarten and beyond.
We offer a learning environment in which children develop confidence, compassion, and encouragement for each other. Cadence Academy Preschool’s early childhood curriculum exposes children to life skills, language development, fine and gross motor skills, arts and crafts, music and movement, science, and mindful breathing.
We believe children are partners with us to create the best learning environment. A combination of direct instruction, learning through play, and of course, fun is used to encourage curiosity and instill a sense of security.

Delilah Diaz
School Director
Hi, my name is Delilah Diaz, I have associate’s degree in child and Family services, I also received my bachelor’s in science in Early childhood education from Birth to age 5. Early childhood is the most vital age of development. I have been working in early childhood for 14 years. I have worked with the age of birth to 7 years old.
I enjoy going to the museums with my two children and husband. I also like to host and cook for my family. I wanted to let all our families know how much I truly love coming in every day. One of the best parts of my day is greeting each child and family as they walk through the door- with a smile, hug or a cheerful hello. Those small moments mean so much to me.
When I am off, I love traveling, going to museums with my two children and husband. I enjoy cooking and host for family and friends to try my food.

Hi, I’m Carolyn! I’m a licensed Occupational Therapy Practitioner in the state of New Jersey with over a decade of experience working in school-based settings. I practiced occupational therapy for three years and have held various roles supporting children in educational environments for more than ten years.
My journey at Cadence Academy began when my own two children enrolled here—it was their experience that inspired me to get involved. I first joined as a summer camp teacher for elementary-aged students and soon transitioned into my current role as the Lead Preschool 3 Teacher, a position I’ve held for the past year and a half. During my time here, I’ve discovered a deeper passion for early childhood education and am now working toward earning my teaching certification.
Outside the classroom, my family and I love spending time together camping, hiking, and dancing. We’re happiest when we’re outdoors and making memories as a family.
Naomi Lockett
Teacher of the Year
Hi there! My name is Naomi Lockett. I’m the Preschool B teacher and I’ve been a teacher at Cadence since 2020. I have a Bachelors’ degree in psychology from Rider University. I’m currently getting my Masters ‘degree to be a licensed clinical mental health counselor. Some fun facts about me are that I love superheroes, especially Marvel. I’m a huge fan of Disney. My favorite place that I’ve traveled to was Italy. During my free time, I enjoy playing video games and reading books.
