Cadence Academy Preschool, Greenboro has proudly served 1000s of families in Greensboro since we opened our doors in 2000. Previously known as Village Kids Child Care Center, we changed our name in November 2019 as part of our school’s ongoing commitment to providing our families the best preschool programming possible. We offer child care services for ages 6 weeks – 12 years old in a warm and nurturing preschool environment that prepares young minds for future academic success! And, as elementary schools are altering schedules, we are here to serve your needs and the needs of your school-aged children with enhanced programs to help with virtual learning sessions and more. Ascend Curriculum

Our teachers focus on age-appropriate practices that gently guide children through each stage of development. We want to make the most of your child’s first educational experiences, which is why we utilize a skill-based approach that balances social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.

The flexibility built into our Ascend Curriculum allows us to create personalized learning experiences for each child in our care. Our preschool teachers are encouraged to modify activities to fit the interests, learning style, and current skill level of each student so that these educational experiences are engaging and fun! Important skills are taught within every program and fine-tuned just before kindergarten in Kindergarten Club.

Kind Child

Kind Child is a wonderful program that helps us nurture a set of social skills that will serve your child for a lifetime. We focus on Kind Child skills as a core part of our Ascend Curriculum every month and introduce a character trait like a Positive Self-Image, Respect, Thankfulness, and Responsibility every two months. The goal of Kind Child is to elevate the emotional well-being of every child and encourage positive friendships all over our preschool!

Enrichment Activities

Cadence Academy Greensboro regularly invites leading providers in the Greensboro community to engage our students in additional enrichment activities. Although many of these activities are already explored in our classrooms, this is a great way to get your child access to expert instruction when they show interest in a specific discipline. Some of the enrichment activities we are offer are: Tumble with Care, Spanish, ExtravaDance, Computer Explorers, Little Hoopers, Kinder Kixx Soccer, Musicare, and JumpBunch.

School-Age Program

Cadence Academy Greensboro has a fully equipped After School classroom that elementary students love. They take advantage of the quiet area to complete homework and enjoy our large activity areas when it’s time for play, activities, and socializing. We also offer a full day program for elementary students during summer and other school breaks.

Our After School program provides transportation for students at six local elementary schools. We currently offer after care pick-up at Colfax Elementary School in Colfax, Oak Ridge Elementary School in Oak Ridge, and Pierce Elementary School, General Greene Elementary School, Claxton Elementary School, and Cornerstone Charter Academy in Greensboro, NC. And, as elementary schools are altering schedules, we are here to serve your needs and the needs of your school-aged children with enhanced programs to help with virtual learning sessions and more.
