Cadence Academy Preschool, Greenboro has proudly served 1000s of families in Greensboro since we opened our doors in 2000. Previously known as Village Kids Child Care Center, we changed our name in November 2019 as part of our school’s ongoing commitment to providing our families the best preschool programming possible. We offer child care services for ages 6 weeks – 12 years old in a warm and nurturing preschool environment that prepares young minds for future academic success! And, as elementary schools are altering schedules, we are here to serve your needs and the needs of your school-aged children with enhanced programs to help with virtual learning sessions and more. Cadence Academy Greensboro regularly invites leading providers in the Greensboro community to engage our students in additional enrichment activities. Although many of these activities are already explored in our classrooms, this is a great way to get your child access to expert instruction when they show interest in a specific discipline. Some of the enrichment activities we are offer are: Tumble with Care, Spanish, ExtravaDance, Computer Explorers, Little Hoopers, Kinder Kixx Soccer, Musicare, and JumpBunch.
Cadence Academy Greensboro has a fully equipped After School classroom that elementary students love. They take advantage of the quiet area to complete homework and enjoy our large activity areas when it’s time for play, activities, and socializing. We also offer a full day program for elementary students during summer and other school breaks.
Our After School program provides transportation for students at six local elementary schools. We currently offer after care pick-up at Colfax Elementary School in Colfax, Oak Ridge Elementary School in Oak Ridge, and Pierce Elementary School, General Greene Elementary School, Claxton Elementary School, and Cornerstone Charter Academy in Greensboro, NC.
And, as elementary schools are altering schedules, we are here to serve your needs and the needs of your school-aged children with enhanced programs to help with virtual learning sessions and more.
Thanks to the flexibility of our Ascend Curriculum, we take an individualized approach to early childhood education and encourage every child to progress towards age-appropriate goals at their natural pace. New skills are introduced sequentially in 9 different learning domains each month and activities are modified to fit the interests and current skill level of each child. This skill-based approach to early education ensures that every child feels engaged, supported, and challenged and makes learning fun!
Another significant part of our curriculum is our Kind Child program. Kind Child is a year-long program for children ages two and older that helps our teachers nurture and strengthen every child’s social and emotional skills. We have found that when we focus on the emotional well-being of each child in our care, we strengthen our school as well. We are confident that Kind Child will continue to strengthen the culture of our entire preschool center by elevating every child’s feelings of happiness, improving their well-being, and enriching their friendships.
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer is a high-energy enrichment program designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork through fun, age-appropriate soccer play. Led by the teachers your child already knows and trusts, it’s seamlessly built into the school day.
Designed for ages 3–5
12-week program (once per week)
40–50 minute sessions
Builds balance, coordination, and motor skills

I have an AAS in Early Childhood Education and have work in Early Childhood for almost 25 years. I have been with Cadence Academy Preschool since 2018. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, shopping and playing with my son.
I have an AAS in Early Childhood and have over 25 years experience in Early Childhood Education. I have been at the school since 2001 and have been apart of the Management team in December 2017. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and shopping.
I am a Pre-K teacher at Cadence Academy Preschool. I have an AAS in Early Childhood Education. I have been at the school since 2008 and have over 35 years experience working with children. I enjoy spending time with family, watching UNC Tarheel basketball, and the Dallas Cowboys.
