Lisa Szulga
School Director
What I love about early childhood education is witnessing the children through their developmental phases. It’s amazing to see how they grow and learn, both cognitively and emotionally. I also enjoy seeing their smiling faces every day—it’s such a joy to be around their energy. It’s an honor to be a part of each child’s journey and to help create an environment where both they and their families can thrive. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. I enjoy going glamping with my significant other—it’s a great way to unwind and connect with nature. I also love gardening, quality moments with my family and friends, and reading & playing sudoku.

Jordan Lauseng
Assistant Director
I love early childhood education because it builds the foundation for lifelong learning. Children are curious, eager to explore, and open to new experiences at this age, making it a perfect time to foster their natural creativity, critical thinking, and social skills. I enjoy helping children develop a sense of confidence and independence, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see their growth and joy as they discover new things.
With my busy schedule working towards a master’s in social work, I don’t have much free time right now. However, when I get a break, I love spending quality time with my family, visiting our cabin to unwind, diving into a good book, and catching up on much-needed sleep. I also enjoy coaching color guard for high school students, as it allows me to share my passion for performance and teamwork. I’m also dedicated to continuing my education, as I love learning new things and growing in my field. Additionally, I find peace in nature and often take walks to relax and appreciate the outdoors.
I have a bachelor’s degree in developmental psychology and a long-standing passion for working with children, which led me to pursue a career in early childhood education. I began this journey with Miniapple in January 2022 at the Rosedale location. After about nine months, I transitioned to the Marcy Holmes location, where I served as the Director until January 2024. I’m excited to be back and looking forward to continuing to make a positive impact in this field!
