Our developmentally appropriate classrooms are warm and inviting. Within each classroom you will find distinct learning centers such as blocks, sand and water, dramatic play, library, and computers. These well-defined areas present clear activity choices to children and give them control over their time during center time. Learning materials are offered on low shelves and in labeled containers so they are easily accessible to children and they can gain a sense of independence.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum provides a strong foundation for children’s academic success and our teachers provide a warm, nurturing environment in which every child can be successful. Children retain more when they are having fun, so our programs emphasize learning through play.

Parent Communication App

We have an extraordinary Parent Communication App that our teachers use daily to relay information and send pictures to family members, send newsletters, and track developmental progress for each child’s portfolio! With this application, parents/guardians are able to opt into email or text alerts and they can receive any information, instantaneously, about their child and their child’s school day.

Teachers and staff can tag daily pictures with our Developmental Domains (Social/Emotional, Physical, Artistic, Cognitive, and Language/Literacy) and are then able to communicate with the parents/guardians by adding captions or sending quick little notes.

Families LOVE this feature and we’re utilizing it more and more each day! We are so excited to be able to communicate with our families throughout the day and to show them what their children are learning each day.

We would love to meet you and your family!

Hi there! I have been in the Early Childhood field since October 1997 and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from UMASS Amherst and my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University. I am also Director II certified through the Department of Early Education and Care.

My favorite thing about working with children is having the opportunity to watch them grow and develop. It’s awe-inspiring to watch an infant become a toddler and then a preschooler and know that I was fortunate enough to play a role in their learning and development through the years. I can honestly say that each day with children is a learning experience for me as much as it is for them!

I am a mom to three beautiful girls, Madelyn and twins Campbell & Courtney. I spend much of my weekend time at dance competitions or sporting events with my girls. To unwind, I enjoy a good book and love spending time with my family on the Cape!

My son was enrolled at Cadence Academy from 10-12 months old after we moved to a new town. He started in another daycare center at 4 months. Our experience was really poor but I'll try to focus this review on what to expect to hopefully have a better experience if this is your only option. When I picked my son up on his first day, there was no staff member at the entrance and another parent held the door to let me in. When I got to the classroom, a teacher who I hadn't met before and who didn't know me passed me my baby when I said I was his mom. My identity wasn't validated with another staff member or my drivers license. I am actually his mother, so I guess no harm no foul, but it was pretty upsetting that anyone could have walked in claiming to be my child's parent and the teachers would have let that person leave with my son. Make sure that all staff know exactly who can pick up your child and who can't. They have a parent communication app and the teachers do post quite a few pictures. Requests for additional supplies were usually last minute, and teachers don't message within the app. I was told they don't have the time to send a recap of what the infants have done during the day. Instead, they want you to call the center and hope someone answers to be transferred to your child's classroom, at which point you can ask the teacher how your child's day is going. Our previous daycare sent a daily recap as well as pictures and would respond quickly to messages and phone calls. If you want to know what your baby or child is doing or how they're doing, plan on calling but still don't expect too much info. I think in two months, my baby was only taken outside eight times. Most daycares gets babies outside almost every day. It's very convenient to have the school provide lunches and snacks once your baby is eating solids. I thought it was common knowledge that infants under one shouldn't have honey, even in cooked foods, but my baby was given graham crackers made with honey. Be very specific with what your baby can't have, even if you think it's common sense, be specific. I always had the feeling that my son was being left to fend for himself and wasn't often engaged with. We used to get lots of artwork and projects from his previous daycare but Cadence doesn't do much of that. The few things we did get were footprints the teachers had done. Infants seem to spend a lot of time in containers like jumparoos and bouncers. My son had pretty much outgrown these things when he attended, but I expect daycare to offer a bit more free movement. I would ask them to limit the amount of time in bouncers and jumparoos. When we first signed up, we were told that my son would be in the nursery and would transition into the toddler room at 15 month or so. As it turns out, the nursery and toddler room are licensed as combo rooms so they can have babies as young as 6 weeks in with toddlers as old as 2.9 years and will move babies around depending on staff coverage. This is just something to be aware of. I would have been very uncomfortable leaving a young infant in this type of situation. Babies get sick and accidents happen, but within two months the two months my son was there, an infant got RSV and then pneumonia and a toddler cut her finger or hand so badly an ambulance was called. The director did not want to take accountability for anything that went wrong. She made excuses for her staff, her center, and herself, citing that "this is how we've always done it". The teachers are all pretty new but most are sweet and my son was genuinely happy and excited to see them in the morning. The director allowed us to leave with just one week's notice, so I appreciated that. I was charged after he was gone anyway due to a "glitch in the system". Cadence Academy describes themselves as a "premier childcare facility" and from what I can tell, they are a "bare minimum to comply with the law" childcare facility with a premier price. *Note: the assistant director was not in the room when I picked my son up. That is not true.

Miss Amanda the director at the West Bridgewater Center is an absolute ANGEL! She is so caring and knowledgeable. I am so impressed with how she knows every student and really loves the kids and their families. This center is truly amazing. The children are so happy and well cared for. They really cater to the needs of each child. It's a blessing to know that my granddaughter loves school so's all because of this outstanding staff.
