Next Generation Children’s Centers (NGCC), which has 10 preschools locations across Massachusetts, has proudly provided childcare for thousands of families over the past 25 years. Our childcare center in Franklin, Massachusetts first opened its doors in 1998 and went through a renovation in 2012.

Our state-of-the-art preschool campus features 16 classrooms, a commercial kitchen, two indoor play spaces, a covered outdoor play area, and two large playgrounds that appeal to varying age groups.

Nurturing the Whole Child

To succeed, a child needs not only solid academic skills but also a positive sense of self and a feeling of community. NGCC Franklin makes every effort to create a caring, nurturing environment that supports healthy choices and the emotional well-being of every child.

At NGCC, we focus on growth and development of the “Whole Child.” Our preschool curriculum actively engages the following core concepts every day:

  1. Education
  2. Social Skills
  3. Healthy Habits
  4. Community Connections

We work with you so that your child will develop a love of learning and build their self-esteem. We believe that children learn best through hands-on activities and our teachers provide your child with the materials, freedom, and support to learn at their own pace. Activities at our childcare center and daycare are developed from your child’s interests and abilities so that your they love every minute of learning.

Our Child Care Facilities

At NGCC, we understand how hectic family life can be; we are parents, too. As such, our child care facilities are designed with working parents in mind. Our goal is to help you enjoy peace of mind knowing that your children are safe and sound in a place as comforting as home. We do everything in our power to make our preschool as healthy, secure, and accommodating as possible. Our child care facility has:

  • A full commercial kitchen – We prepare a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and three snacks daily. We use only the best quality foods and employ ServSafe® certified cooks to prepare the meals.
  • A cleaning service – Our facility is washed, vacuumed, and disinfected every night.
  • A secured entry system and closed circuit monitoring of the playgrounds and common spaces.
  • Consumer Product Safety Commission guideline compliant playgrounds.
  • A laundry center – We wash and sanitize your child’s clothes, sheets, and blankets.

I joined NGCC in 2008 and I’m thrilled to work with such an incredibly caring team here at Franklin. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with our families, especially those new to childcare. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Wheelock College and I’m Director II certified by the Department of Early Education and Care. I have 3 children who attend the Franklin school.

My favorite things about NGCC-Franklin are the structure, organization, and knowledgeable, caring and experienced teachers. My son has been attending for a little over a month. He has developed tremendously, feels more confident, enjoys the activities, and highly speaks of his teachers (Ms. Emily, Ms. Lisa, and Ms. Amy). One of the best things, too, is to get messages throughout the day with the description of the activities they just did and photos of him doing them, which helps me engage with him to talk about his day at school. Last but not least, my son is very attached to me, and he was home for two years; and I thought the transition to preschool would be a lot difficult, but the teachers are so great, as well as the staff, that the transition was smooth! Within a couple of weeks, he was comfortable with the school, likes it, and looks forward to going! When it comes to our kids' education, it is a must to look at it not as a cost but as an investment that will give you a return depending on how much and what you put it into. I feel pleased with my decision to join the NGCC family, and I appreciate each one of them for their contributions to my son’s education and skills building.

I have been a part of the NGCC team since 1999. I had worked for a year at NGCC in 1994 before I relocated to Seattle for 5 years. I worked at 2 centers in the Washington area and when I moved back I knew exactly where my work "home" was and immediately became an employee of NGCC again. I have worked at the Sudbury center, the Marlborough center and am currently at the Franklin center. I consider the Franklin center my home base and wouldn't want it any other way. I have felt completely supported during the pandemic, while we were off and when we returned. Our jobs as childcare providers can be hard work, but when you have a team that supports you, it makes a world of difference. My step daughter went to the NGCC Kindergarten program 22 years ago, she is grown now, but if I had a young child there is no classroom I would hesitate to enroll them in to learn, develop and grow! I believe the head start she got at NGCC really helped build a foundation for teamwork and a love for learning!
