Elizabeth Balauag
School Director
I began my career at Cadence Academy Preschool in 2019 as a Lead Infant Teacher, before taking over as the Assistant Director. I now proudly serve as the School Director. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Illinois State University and bring experience from both public school and early childhood education settings. My approach is rooted in building strong relationships with children and families, fostering a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for all. My husband and I live nearby with our two sons, who have also attended Cadence Academy Preschool. I take pride in helping provide a nurturing, safe environment that serves families in the community where I also live!

Danielle Schneider
Teacher of the Year
I am proud to be our school’s 2025 Teacher of the Year!
One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching children is witnessing the pure joy and sense of accomplishment on their faces when they overcome new challenges. Whether it’s mastering a tricky concept or achieving a personal goal, their excitement and pride are incredibly inspiring and remind me why I love what I do. I come from a lively family of five girls, which means I grew up surrounded by energy, laughter, and a strong sense of sisterhood. I’ve always had a bit of an adventurous spirit—I’ve gone skydiving and also had the unforgettable experience of dog sledding through the snowy landscapes of Alaska! I’m happily married and a proud stepmom to two wonderful children. As a family, we cherish spending time outdoors. We love to travel, explore new hiking trails, and find peace and adventure in the mountains.
