About Cadence Academy Preschool in Pine Meadow, CT
Cadence Academy Preschool promises to provide a stimulating, loving, and inclusive environment that benefits the child, their caregivers & our community!
Our Program
We designed our program to provide an inclusive, stimulating, loving and home-like environment. In turn which benefits the child, their caregivers, and our community.
Our program works to enhance your child’s self-esteem, encourage their self learning skills, develop social skills, and stimulate learning. All while building on their speech and language development and challenging their motor skills.
Child Centered
We challenge sensory, motor, perceptual and language skills through all kinds of materials and different hands on activities. Both of which are child-centered and teacher directed.
Learning by Playing
Work is planned emphasizing the process rather than the product. Based on the theory that children learn through playing and from new experiences, their classroom activities are varied! They include a balance of structure, free choice, indoor and outdoor play, active and quiet times.

Our family of teachers at Cadence Academy Preschool strive to make your child a priority, and help our school feel more like a home. With diverse experience ranging from babysitting to post graduate early childhood programs, our teachers bring a wide array of different learning models to ensure each child will benefit in their own way.
Continuing education & safety
Just like the children at Cadence Academy Preschool, our teachers are continually learning. Attendance at seminars, workshops and annual conferences is mandatory. We partake in staff development programs as part of our on-going training.
All of our teachers are certified in American Heart Association CPR and First Aid for children. Additionally, some staff members have been trained in medication administration and EpiPen injection.

In 2012, I walked through the doors of Cadence Academy for the very first time—and from that moment on, it became my home away from home.
What began as a teaching position quickly grew into something so much more: a deep-rooted love for our school, our families, our community, and most of all, our children.
I am one of the few people in the world who walks out of their job on a Friday and genuinely thinks, “I can’t wait to go back on Monday.”
For over a decade, this school has lived in the center of my heart. When I made the transition from being a classroom teacher to stepping into the role of Director, it was a bittersweet change. In the classroom, my impact reached my group of children each day. Now, as Director, it is my greatest hope that I uplift and inspire our teachers—so that through them, I can touch the lives of every child in our care.
With all the gratitude in my heart, I thank our teachers for creating the magic and memories that will stay with our children for a lifetime. Your passion, patience, and dedication turn everyday moments into lasting impressions.
It is a true privilege to serve as Director of this school. Thank you to each and every one of our incredible teachers who continue to fill our days with joy, love, and purpose. You are the heart of Cadence Academy, and I am so proud to walk alongside you.

With a heart full of passion, boundless patience, and unwavering dedication, Miss. Cheyene has left a lasting mark on the lives of our children, families, and staff. Her classroom radiates creativity and warmth, and her deep commitment to early childhood development inspires everyone around her.
As one of the first friendly faces our families meet, Miss. Cheyene builds meaningful, lasting relationships that go far beyond the classroom. She’s not only a nurturing teacher, but also the behind-the-scenes magic of our school events, our top St. Jude’s fundraiser, and the first to step up with a helping hand—or a comforting hug.
Cheyene truly lives our culture of kindness and exemplifies everything it means to be a Cadence educator. Her compassion, initiative, and ability to make every child feel seen and valued are just a few of the countless reasons this recognition is so well-deserved.
