About The Lil’ School Preschool and Daycare in Citrus Heights, CA
Inspired by the approaches of European Programs and the Creative Curriculum, we strive to give a well-rounded education that will allow your child to develop into a confident creative thinker.
Beyond the ABC’s and 123’s, your children will get an appreciation for the arts, the desire for physical activity, the curiosity to explore their surroundings, and an interest in the welfare of their community.
Your lil’ one will learn by being an active participant whose input will guide the class learning path:
Play-based activities will create many teachable moments using the children’s natural curiosity to lead the discussions. Our teachers act as facilitators, encouraging the children to attain their own knowledge while interacting with their friends.
We promote children’s education through the development of all their languages: expressive, communicative, symbolic, cognitive, ethical, metaphorical, logical, imaginative and relational. And we add an extra focus on literacy, science and mathematics for the pre-k program. Your child will be more than ready for Kindergarten (or TK).
Our active Parents’ Club, will connect you to your child’s education and allow you to get involved in shared celebrations!
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer
Big Fun. Little Players. Growing Confidence.
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer is a high-energy enrichment program designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork through fun, age-appropriate soccer play. Led by the teachers your child already knows and trusts, it’s seamlessly built into the school day.
Program Highlights:
Designed for ages 3–5
12-week program (once per week)
40–50 minute sessions
Builds balance, coordination, and motor skills
Encourages listening, teamwork, and confidence
Integrated into your child’s daily schedule

A Typical Day At The Lil’ School?
- Drop off & Early-Bird Breakfast
- Circle time (time for discussion, songs, social emotional)
- Activity time (according to the projects, natural focus on literacy, math and science, and/or sign language for babies)
- Free play
- Outside time

- Outside Classroom experience
- Nap time or quiet activities

Breakfast, snacks and lunch are provided and cooked onsite using fresh ingredients. (We buy organic or the highest quality available.)
Getting To Our Preschool
Our Citrus Heights center is located at 8089 Madison Ave #11, Citrus Heights, CA 95610, near the major intersection of Madison Ave and Sunrise Blvd. We are situated right by Market Square at Sunrise, Target, and nearby schools like Carriage Drive Elementary and Bella Vista High School, making morning drop-offs and everyday errands quick and convenient.
Our location along Madison Avenue provides fast access to Sunrise Boulevard, offering a smooth morning and evening commute for working parents heading toward I-80 or Highway 50 into Roseville, Folsom, or downtown Sacramento.

I have been with Cadence Academy since 2013! I started my journey with the company as a two year old teacher and have worked my way up to being a director from there. I have been married to my wonderful husband since 2013 and we have two sons. In my spare time I love to read and have the goal of reading 100 books a year (the closest I have gotten was 86). I love being team mom for my kids baseball teams and spend WAY too much time at the fields. I love early childhood education with my whole soul. There isn’t another field I have even considered working in! My goal is to create a peaceful and safe environment for students , staff and parents alike. I am very involved in all of the classrooms and pride myself on knowing a little something about every single student who enters our care. Thank you for trusting me with your children I promise to love them like my own!

I have been working in childcare for 27 years! I have taught toddlers through pre-k. I studied early childhood education at Sierra college and am so happy to be a part of the Lil’ Schools by Cadence Education. I enjoy watching children grow and transform each day. I love getting to know my families and children throughout the year.

I am Miss Danielle I have been teaching for over 20 years and with the Cadence Education family since 2016. I have a love of teaching science to my students and have so many fun projects planned for them each year. I love watching children learn something new and see their eyes light up! I have 4 children and my youngest are twins!
