¡Hola! I’m Marcela Zepeda, and I’m so excited to be part of your child’s journey at Little Big Minds.
I was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and raised in the beautiful town of Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico. I returned to Phoenix for school and earned my B.S. in Nutrition from Arizona State University. I spent nine and a half years working with Head Start as a Nutrition Coordinator, where I discovered my passion for early childhood development and child wellbeing.
In my search for a safe, nurturing environment and high-quality education for my own children, I found Little Big Minds Preschool. I was immediately drawn to the rich curriculum, the warmth of the staff, and the sense of community. Seeing my sons thrive full of joy, confidence, and academic growth was truly a rewarding experience as a parent.
I officially joined the LBM team in the summer of 2023, and I’m honored to continue growing alongside this incredible community. My goal is to collaborate, learn, and contribute meaningfully to ensure our children feel supported, inspired, and cared for in a way that leaves a lasting impact.
In my free time, I love relaxing at the beach, playing padel, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and spending quality time with my family.
My name is Eyra Heredia, and I am honored and thrilled to be recognized as the 2025 Teacher of the Year!
I was born in Sonora, Mexico, and raised in the close-knit town of Santa Ana, where I completed my education from elementary through high school. I later moved to Hermosillo to pursue my passion for the arts, earning a degree in music from the Center for the Arts at the University of Sonora.
I am proud to be a wife and mother to a wonderful ten-year-old boy who was once a part of the incredible program here at Little Big Minds and is now preparing to enter the fourth grade.
Since joining the Little Big Minds family in 2018, I have grown tremendously, both personally and professionally. This community has deepened my appreciation for the importance of early childhood development, and it has been a joy to play a role in nurturing young minds during such a vital stage of life.
Being part of this passionate, dedicated team continues to inspire me every day, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students and families.
