Welcome to Discovery Days Childcare in Franklin, WI
Discovery Days offers a childcare program that focuses on the children and their individual needs. We follow the Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards which fosters social and academic learning. We take pride in the service we provide and look forward to making a difference in the life of your family!
Why Discovery Days Preschool is Your Best Choice
We have been providing quality early childhood education and care to families since 2000. We believe that a positive early childhood experience is crucial to a child’s development. Our programs are designed to help children learn at their own pace. Group activities are designed with the developmental needs of each age group in mind. A good deal of time is allotted for children to explore the various interest centers in their classroom.
Providing a program that fosters early educational learning, positive social interaction and working to achieve age appropriate milestones helps prepare our children for their future.
We provide a nurturing and socially stimulating environment for children according to their age and individuality. We believe childhood is the beginning of many life adventures, and we provide the care that makes the difference.
At Discovery Days we understand that children learn in a variety of ways. As much as they can learn within our walls, they’ll learn an equal amount through their personal experience outside of our walls, in the community.
Ascend Curriculum
Our Ascend Curriculum develops academic, physical, emotional, and creative skills and features activities in subjects such as Cultural Understanding, Baby Signs, Literacy, Mathematics, and Technology. We find that children learn best when activities are geared towards their interests. Our teachers are encouraged to individualize activities and engage in small group instruction so they can better respond to the needs and interests of each child. Even the youngest children in the infants program can benefit from the Ascend Curriculum.

Danielle Palmer
School Director
I began working in high school through a preschool program associated with my class. I entered the field when I was 15 years old, took a break to raise my own children, and returned to the field when I moved to Wisconsin. In total, I have been involved in this field for 20 years. Throughout these years, I have evolved and developed my career, starting as a teacher and progressing to assistant director and eventually to school director. I take great pleasure in supporting teachers and helping them achieve success in the classroom. Being a true Floridian, I love the outdoors and especially enjoy the beach. I get excited about going on new adventures and exploring different areas. Camping and discovering new places are activities I find particularly fun.
I look forward to building relationships with families, students, and our teachers. Our continued partnership is the heart of our program and what makes it thrive. I am eager to support you in any way I can.
Kennedy Lepore
Assistant Director
Kennedy Lepore is the Assistant Director at Cadence Academy Preschool and brings a strong passion for early childhood education to her role. A graduate of Seminole High School with a background in Early Childhood Education, Kennedy began her career in 2019, working hands-on in toddler classrooms. After moving from Florida in 2021, she joined Discovery Days, where she continued supporting young children’s growth, first in the toddler room and then in the two-year-old classroom. Her dedication and leadership led to her promotion to Administrative Assistant and most recently to Assistant Director.
Kennedy loves learning about each child’s development and supporting them as they reach important milestones. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks and visits to the park with her son, reading, and relaxing at the beach when she can. She also enjoys traveling back to Florida to visit loved ones. Kennedy is eager to continue growing in her role and within the Cadence Academy Preschool community, and she looks forward to being a supportive, familiar presence for both families and staff.
Luz Diaz Telles
Teacher of the Year
Hello! My name is Ms. Luz, and I’m so excited to be part of the toddler team here at Discovery Days Franklin. I’ve been working with young children for over 24 years, and I truly believe the toddler years are a magical time full of discovery, growth, and big emotions—and I feel honored to help guide and support them through it all.
I have an associate’s degree in early childhood education and I’m passionate about creating a warm, safe, and fun environment where every child feels loved and encouraged to explore the world around them. Whether it’s through music, story time, messy play, or quiet cuddles, I love getting to know each child’s unique personality and helping them build confidence and independence.
I’m so glad to be part of this wonderful community.
