About Cadence Academy Preschool in Puyallup, WA

Cadence Academy Preschool uses an emergent curriculum focused on the child’s individual strengths, interests & developmental needs of each child within the class. The curriculum is research based and incorporates observation & assessment into our daily planning; the teacher observes each child throughout the week, documents their observations and creates a weekly plan of activities to meet each child’s needs. Individualization is an important part of our center that we believe strengthens each child’s skills. Our activities are in the fields of: Art, Science, Literacy, Math, Technology, Social Studies

Our Philosophy

Cadence Academy Preschool will strive to provide childcare of the highest quality, stressing a safe, secure environment; a nurturing, professional team of staff; and the finest educational experiences. We are committed to providing a program that balances each child’s intellectual, physical, social, creative, and emotional needs. We believe that early learning is relationship-based. Our fundamental goal is to establish trusting relationships among children, teachers, and parents. Therefore, we will strive to establish relationships with our students and to model appropriate behaviors and social skills.

National Accreditation

Cadence Academy Preschool, Puyallup is nationally accredited through the National Association of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is one of the most prestigious accrediting organizations. NAEYC is recognized for their high standards of quality that all accredited centers are required to achieve and maintain.

Washington State Early Achievers

Cadence Academy Preschool, Puyallup will be a Washington State Early Achievers participant. Early Achievers is a quality rating program that empowers early learning professionals through coaching and resources to provide high-quality care that supports each child’s learning and development, so they are prepared to be successful in school and life. I fell in love with early childhood education when I first became a teacher. Having a hand in the development of children and partnering with families is such a rewarding process. As my passion continued to grow, I became an assistant director and shortly after became a director. I plan to support the needs of early childhood education as much as I can. In my free time I enjoy camping and riding with my friends and family and I recently took up gardening.

I have worked in the field of Early childhood education for 4 years, 3 of those years being here at Cadence Academy. I absolutely love my job and working with children to reach their goals and seeing their potential. I have a beautiful daughter, who also goes to our center that I love spending time with. I also enjoy going to concerts in my free time.

The team and staff at cadence creates a loving and caring environment for all of our children. Now, speaking to my own daughter, she has had nothing but a loving and kind experience and enjoyed every second of her education. But as an engaged parent, I also look around and see all the joy of other kids and how much learning is going on creativity is encouraged and kindness is the watch word. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

What really makes this academy stand out is the amazing leadership and dedication from the staff, especially the Assistant Director, Gabriela. She is truly outstanding. Gabriela has always been incredibly kind, professional, understanding, and supportive whenever we have had questions or concerns. She genuinely cares about the children and families and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels heard and taken care of. There was even a time my child mentioned the classroom temperature being too hot or too cold due to the HVAC system, and Gabriela immediately took action by scheduling companies to come out and inspect it. That level of attention and care shows how committed she is to creating the best environment possible for the children. The school itself is clean, welcoming, and filled with positive energy. The teachers create such a nurturing atmosphere where children feel safe, loved, included, and excited to learn. You can truly tell that everyone at Cadence Academy works as a team and puts their hearts into what they do. I highly recommend Cadence Academy to any parent looking for a trustworthy, caring, and supportive place for their children. We are beyond grateful for everything they do!

Taking my kids to daycare always scared me, you hear all these terrible stories. Well life happens and daycare was the right choice for us, someone recommended Cadence Academy to us. From the moment I stepped in the front door for a tour, I knew this place was special. Every single teacher and staff member there absolutely loves and cares deeply for every single child. It feels more like a family than it does a daycare. The curriculum is amazing, they work so well with the different needs of each child, and communication is great! I never have to wonder what my kids are doing during the day, I know their activities, what they eat, how many diapers were changed, and even get cute photo updates. We’ve been there almost a full year and my kids ask me everyday if it’s a daycare day because they love it so much! Thank you cadence for all you do for these kiddos
