About Cadence Academy Preschool and Daycare in Riverton, Utah
Cadence Academy Preschool (formerly Skool Days Child Care Center) is a licensed, full-service, premium early childhood education center in Riverton, UT focusing on the success and individual nurturing of each child.
We are proud to lead the way in preparing children for kindergarten. Through our specialized curriculum and dedicated teachers, we strive to ensure that your child is not just ready for kindergarten, but ready to excel. In 2024, 100% of the Pre-K children assessed in our school demonstrated Readiness or Advanced Readiness for Kindergarten!
Our curriculum promotes independence by allowing teachers to challenge students who need more advanced work and to assist children who need more guidance. We use skills-based learning, which is proven to help students think critically, learn to solve problems, and become more independent so they are ready to succeed in elementary school and beyond.

We are conveniently located across from Oquirrh Hills Middle School and down the street from Southland Elementary School, making multi-child pick-up/drop-off easy. We strive to make the hand-off as organized as possible and create a positive environment for each child. The Riverton daycare is surrounded by the grassy expanse of Centennial Park, which your little ones will look forward to playing near every day.
Our Riverton facilities are well-maintained and clean. All programs include meals, arts & crafts, preschool materials, science projects, cooking events, etc. Our curriculum is selected and planned based upon age-appropriate development.
Our staff members are successful, well-trained, and educated individuals who must complete our orientation and training process to become qualified to work and teach at our school. Each teacher at our daycare in Riverton is required to further their training annually by completing a minimum of 20 additional hours of specialized education.

I am a Logan native and moved to Salt Lake County in September 2023. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Family, Consumer and Human Development from Utah State University in 2017. After graduating, I became a preschool teacher. I loved teaching and was fortunate enough to be in that position for 5 years. I had to take a step back when I became a mom to focus on my little ones and changed career paths working for the Health Department. After meeting my husband and moving to Salt Lake County, I decided to go back into my passion and that’s when I joined Cadence. I have two beautiful little girls that also attend Cadence. In our free time, we love traveling to Logan to spend time with family and during the summer, we love going to parks/ splash pads and Bear Lake. Some of my hobbies are building Legos, listening to podcasts and going shopping.

I have been here for almost a year and have loved working here. I enjoy being able to interact with children each day, and I especially enjoy seeing my own children and the friendships they have made in their classes. I started babysitting as a teenager and loved being around children of all ages. I have also worked as a kindergarten teacher, and a teacher to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I love being around kids and being able to see the joy, love and excitement that they have for life. My husband and I have been married for 8 years, and we have three children, all of whom attend Cadence Academy. As a family we enjoy going on cruises and visiting Harry Potter World in Florida. We also enjoy going to gymnastics meets and football games at the University of Utah. Sharks are my favorite animal and I have been scuba diving with nurse sharks. I love the beach and the ocean, and my dream is to one day live in Florida.

Teacher of the Year
I have been with Cadence Academy for two years. I moved from Oahu, Hawaii after living there for 30 years where I worked in the Head Start program for 25 years. This was a very fun experience because I taught the children of the BYU Hawaii students that had come from all over the world to gain an education. I started as a volunteer in my own children’s classroom in 1998 and from there worked my way up to substitute teacher, assistant teacher, and then teacher. During that time, I went back to school and earned my Certificate of Completion in ECE from Honolulu Community College and then went on to earn my CDA in ECE and am currently working to obtain my BA in ECE from Wayland Baptist University. I really enjoy working with and teaching children of this age because I love to see them learn new things and be excited about education. I also love how hilarious this age is! I am a former Pop Warner Cheer Coach, teaching girls from 5-15 years of age, along with Team Mom for football, baseball, soccer, and anything else my kids were involved in.
