Cadence Academy Preschool, Grand Prairie was originally founded as Crayon Campus in February 1994. We moved to our present location near Robinson Road and West Chester Parkway in September 1999 and changed our name to Cadence Academy Preschool, Grand Prairie in January 2019. We continue to offer the same quality daycare and preschool programs that Crayon Campus was known for.

Thanks to the flexibility of our Ascend Curriculum, we take an individualized approach to early childhood education and encourage every child to progress towards age-appropriate goals at their natural pace. New skills are introduced sequentially in 9 different learning domains each month and activities are modified to fit the interests and current skill level of each child. This skill-based approach to early education ensures that every child feels engaged, supported, and challenged and makes learning fun!
To further enrich your child’s preschool experience, we are pleased to offer a number of extra-curricular activities such as Stretch-N-Grow, Little Music Maker, Cyber 4 Kids Computer Class, and JD Mobile Gymnastics.
We believe preschool children thrive when there is a strong partnership between school and home. We have an open door policy at our childcare center and encourage our parents to visit their children at any time. Our school has many exciting activities and events for our children and families throughout the year so keep an eye out for events such as Trunk or Treat, Fall Fest, Easter Egg Hunt, Muffins for Mommy, and Donuts for Daddy. Debbie brings a wide range of experience to Cadence Academy Preschool in Grand Prairie. She previously opened and licensed a preschool from the ground up and served as its director for two years, giving her a deep understanding of what it takes to run a successful, supportive school. As a mom of three, Debbie relates to the highs and challenges of early childhood, and she brings that perspective into her work with both children and families. She’s especially skilled at helping deescalate challenging behaviors and supporting teachers through tough moments in the classroom. Debbie also has a background in veterinary care and professional photography, blending practical skills with a creative eye and a calm, compassionate approach. She’s proud to be part of a team that works together to make school a welcoming place for every child.
I began working in Early Childhood Education in 2010 and I am currently looking into Special Education. I like that every child is different, and they are comfortable being themselves around me and I can bring out the best in each child. In my free time I love spending time with family and friends. I love all things fitness and outdoors, reading, exploring new food places and playing video games.
