About Cadence Academy Preschool in Cranston, RI
At Cadence Academy Preschool, we understand the day-to-day child care demands placed on today’s busy families. We provide a truly quality early childhood education environment where children can feel safe, happy, confident, and proud of what they accomplish. We also offer flexible scheduling, back-up care, affordable rates, and convenient hours.
We are conveniently located just off Reservoir Avenue, near Garden City, minutes from both Route 295 and Route 95. We care and educate preschool, pre-K, and school aged children at this location.

Our Curriculum
We utilize a curriculum we developed that draws inspiration from the Creative Curriculum and several states’ Early Learning Standards, which you will see in action in all our centers. Children retain more when they’re having fun so our programs emphasize learning through play. Our curriculum provides a strong foundation for children’s academic success and our teachers provide a warm, nurturing environment in which every child can be successful. Each classroom and our playground have been specifically designed to provide age-appropriate challenges and opportunities. The environment is constructed to stimulate the child’s imagination and to encourage active exploration and discovery.
Parent Communication App
We have an extraordinary Parent Communication App that our teachers use daily to relay information and send pictures to family members, send newsletters, and track developmental progress for each child’s portfolio! With this application, parents/guardians are able to opt into email or text alerts and they can receive any information, instantaneously, about their child and their child’s school day.
Teachers and staff can tag daily pictures with our Developmental Domains (Social/Emotional, Physical, Artistic, Cognitive, and Language/Literacy) and are then able to communicate with the parents/guardians by adding captions or sending quick little notes.
Families LOVE this feature and we’re utilizing it more and more each day! We are so excited to be able to communicate with our families throughout the day and to show them what their children are learning each day.

Our experienced team of early childhood educators is committed to the unique development of each child. Each teacher has been carefully selected through an extensive interview and orientation process. All of our teachers receive ongoing classroom support, supervision and continuing education. Everyone on the staff is certified in early childhood health and safety, first aid, and CPR.

Jennifer Toole
School Director
Jennifer Toole is a passionate advocate for early childhood education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Studies from Rhode Island College Jennifer’s journey in the field began in Atlanta, where she worked as an assistant teacher in a preschool classroom. With the encouragement of her mentors, she returned to school to pursue her dream of becoming a lead teacher—and eventually, a director. Her career has been driven by a deep commitment to building meaningful connections with children and their families. Being part of a child’s support system and earning their trust is what inspires her every day. Jennifer is known for showing up with heart, consistency, and dedication. She brings warmth and stability to her role, always putting the well-being of the children first. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, camping, gardening, painting, and taking peaceful walks in nature.
Kelsey Myers
Assistant Director
Bringing a strong passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating nurturing environments where children and families can thrive, Kelsey earned her Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI). Kelsey began her career in 2016 as a float in an infant room. Her dedication and love for child development led her to become a lead infant teacher, then transition into preschool education, and now serve as Assistant Director. Throughout her journey, she has remained inspired by the way every child learns and grows in their own unique way. Kelsey is devoted to building trust and fostering a happy, supportive atmosphere for both children and their families. She believes that creating a safe and joyful space is the foundation for meaningful growth and learning. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys reading, cooking, spending quality time with her family, and relaxing with a good TV show.
Adriane Lopez
Teacher of the Year
Adriane is a dedicated School-Age Teacher at Cadence Academy and proud recipient of the Teacher of the Year award. She studied Social Work at the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI), and has always been drawn to roles that allow her to support and uplift children. Adriane began her journey in education as a junior volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club, where she discovered her passion for helping children learn and grow. She joined Cadence Academy in 2023 and quickly became a valued member of the team through her thoughtful, hardworking approach and strong commitment to always putting the children first. Adriane loves to see the kids development day by day and being part of their journey. Her classroom is a place where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive. In her free time, Adriane enjoys cooking, spending time with her family and children, and planning monthly getaways that help her recharge and stay inspired.
