About Our School
Welcome to Cadence Academy Preschool, Plymouth Meeting! Our learning center offers exceptional preschool programming and daycare services for ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. We’re committed to providing your child a warm and nurturing preschool environment where they can feel at home and grow. Our skill-targeted approach to early education balances social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development so that we can help your child make the most of their first educational experiences.
Our school has been part of the Cadence Education Family of Schools for several years. We changed our name from Flanagan’s Preschool to Cadence Academy Preschool in September 2019 as part of our school’s ongoing commitment to providing children and their families the best preschool programming possible.
Our Programs
- Infant Daycare (6 weeks – 1 year)
- Toddler Daycare (1– 2 years)
- Early Preschool (2 – 3 years)
- Preschool (3 – 4 years)
- Pre-Kindergarten (ages 4 to 5)
Ascend Curriculum
Our skill-based Ascend Curriculum is much different from the theme-based curricula that many of our competitors use. Our teachers choose certain themes to bring in the fun and connect our activities together, but the focus of our curriculum is on skill development.
When children enter kindergarten, it isn’t necessary for them to know the names of all the dinosaurs or planets. What is important is that they know how to cut with scissors, recognize letter shapes, follow directions, effectively communicate their feelings, complete simple math problems, and play well with their peers. These are the types of skills that are progressively developed every month through our Ascend Curriculum.
Kind Child
Kind Child is a program that allows us to focus on the development of social skills and character. We include Kind Child activities in our monthly curriculum and introduce valuable character traits like a Positive Self-Image, Friendship, and Responsibility every two months. Our goal is to elevate the emotional well-being of every child in our care and encourage positive friendships all over our preschool!
School-To-Home Connection
The connection between home and school is a very important element of preschool education. Parent newsletters, daily lesson plans, and progress reports are some of the ways we keep our families informed about their child and our programs. We also regularly host family events like Preschool Graduation, Grandparent’s Day, the Winter Gingerbread House Decorating Party, and our Halloween Parade to give parents the opportunity to get to know one another better and to build a relationship with the teachers that their child is spending time with every day.
