About Cadence Academy Clackamas
Cadence Academy, Clackamas opened in January 2013. Our teachers and staff proudly serve families from Clackamas and Happy Valley at this daycare center and our campus features environmentally-friendly classrooms, toys, and equipment. We have a community room for nursing mothers, an indoor gross motor area for rainy days, a children’s garden, outdoor play areas, and a brand new commercial kitchen where we prepare healthy meals and snacks every day.
We offer well-rounded childcare and preschool programs that features the Ascend Curriculum, music and dance, Reggio Emilia inspired art, science, and gardening. If your child has an interest in the arts, we also offer classes in Creative Movement & Dance, Yoga, and Music through Creative Outlets 4 Kids, a supplementary program taught by professional dance instructors.

Nutrition
We serve a healthy lunch and a morning and afternoon snack at Cadence Academy Clackamas. Menus are posted on our parent board and in the kitchen. Our meals exceed USDA guidelines and we are proud to offer a healthy menu that features whole grains and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Our meals are designed to give children the vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients they need to grow healthy bodies.
Our Teachers
Our teachers are highly qualified and have the skills and experience to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for your child. We require our teachers to either hold a degree in Early Childhood Education or have at least one year of qualifying teaching experience with the age group that they are going to be working with.
Cadence Academy teachers are required to have current certifications in Child and Infant CPR and First Aid, an Oregon Food Handlers Card, and clock at least 20 hours of continued education every year. All teachers must pass a background check through Oregon’s Central Background Registry before becoming employed at our preschool center.

Cadence Academy Preschool, Clackamas is conveniently located at 12771 SE Sunnyside Rd, Clackamas, OR 97015, which is less than a mile east of I-205. We are a popular option for families in both Clackamas and Happy Valley.

Our infant care program invites children starting at the age of six weeks up to 18 months. Though leaving your little one for the first time is a big step, our nurturing environment is designed to feel just like a home away from home. Toddler Care
Our toddler care program invites children starting at 12 months up to 3 years old. Though toddlers are full of boundless energy, our environment is designed to channel that curiosity into safe exploration. Choosing a program that balances hands-on learning with guided play is a key step in fostering your child’s emerging independence.
Preschool
Our preschool program invites children starting at 3 years up to 5 years old. Though we introduce early academic concepts, we believe that learning happens naturally through open-ended play. Choosing our preschool environment helps build the essential “I can do it” confidence that serves as a foundation for their future education.
Pre-Kindergarten
Our Pre-Kindergarten program invites children starting at 4 years up to 5 years old. Though the focus shifts to kindergarten readiness, we ensure the preparation remains engaging and stress-free. Choosing our specialized curriculum ensures your child is academically and socially prepared for a smooth transition to elementary school.
Private Kindergarten
Our private kindergarten program creates an effortless transition to first grade through a full-day curriculum designed for total developmental readiness. With small class sizes and a nurturing environment, we go above and beyond standard expectations to ensure your child thrives academically and socially.

Hi my name is Nancy. I have been working in child care since 2001. I have been the School Director here since 2018. I enjoy working with children and their families. I have 2 wonderful children. In my free time I love spending time with my family and exploring the outdoors.

Hi I’m Alisha! I am the Assistant Director here at Cadence Academy-Clackamas! I have worked at Cadence since 2018. I love being a part of such an amazing school. I’ve been in childcare since 2012. In my free time I love hanging out with my husband and 3 kids! We love watching sports, camping and movie nights!

My name is Mikayla and I am one of the co teachers in Birch. My mom inspired my love of working with children and encouraged me to pursue education as a career. I have worked with children for many years and have been working with Cadence since 2020. I love being outdoors with my family however, in the cold months I love to curl up on the couch and watch a movie! I can’t wait to get to know you all!
