About Cadence Academy Preschool in Paramus, NJ

Welcome to Cadence Academy Preschool in Paramus! Our preschool offers care and early education programs for infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre-kindergarten children.

We have two classrooms for each age group, a large indoor gym, and a state-of-the-art outdoor playground with areas specifically designed for every age.

Our Approach to Early Education

Cadence recognizes that the first six years of a child’s life are an unparalleled opportunity for cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Our curriculum is based on the belief that young children learn best in a safe and nurturing educational environment where all of their developmental needs are met. Our staff bonds with each child, which helps them build confidence and positive self-esteem.

We believe that young children learn best through exploration and hands-on experiences, guided and facilitated play, and through intentional and reflective learning activities. We recognize that young children learn at different rates and move within a wide range of developmental levels. Our curriculum is designed to accommodate the needs of each child and we balance cognitive, social, physical, and creative development so that we’re nurturing the “Whole Child.”

School Director

When did you start working in early childhood education and how has your career progressed? I began my career in the early childhood field 16 years ago and began as an assistant teacher. I later became a lead toddler teacher, Pre-Kindergarten teacher, assistant director, and now Director here at Cadence Academy, Paramus. My favorite part of being in the early childhood field is seeing the smiling faces on our little ones each and every day and watching them learn and grasp new concepts! I would like all my families to know that your child(ren) are safe in our care and that we will always make them our number one priority leaving you with nothing but peace of mind. As a mom, I know how hard it can be leaving your little one, but with our home-like environment, and exceptional education, they will have fun-filled days all year!

I began my career as a nanny for many different families, then worked at an after-school coding program for young children, then became admin assistant at Cadence! My favorite part of working with the little ones is watching them interact with each other and the world as they grow! Teacher of the Year

Rebecca Cruz has been part of the Cadence Academy Preschool family for three years, serving as an Infant Teacher with a passion for caring for and supporting young children during their earliest stages of development. She is currently continuing her education while working toward her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, further strengthening her knowledge and commitment to the field.

Rebecca brings a fun, warm, and caring energy into the classroom each day. She loves building relationships with children and families and creating a nurturing environment where little ones can feel safe and loved. Outside of school, Rebecca is a big animal lover and jokingly says she has her own zoo at home. She also enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew and loves all things Disney and cartoons.

We started our 2.5 at cadence part time. We absolutely love how the school is with him. Ms Amanda keeps the parents informed and reaches out for everything. Ms Anna cares for the kids as if they were her own. It wasn’t an easy start for us but within a month he was walking himself in and kicking us out!

Our daughter has attended Cadence Academy Preschool in Paramus for the last two years, and we could not have asked for a better early learning foundation. From the beginning, what impressed us most was how patient and gentle the teachers are. Specially Ms. Neelam & Ms. Sheyla, they both took the time to really understand my daughter's personality and pace, she had grown so much in her communication, creativity, develop essential social skills, curiosity, independence and love for learning during her time here. We love their Kind Child program—we have seen firsthand how much our daughter has grown in her empathy, friendship-building, and self-confidence. The teachers strike the perfect balance between structured learning and open-ended, hands-on exploration. Seeing her run into the classroom excited every single morning gives us so much joy. The facilities are wonderful—having both the age-specific outdoor playgrounds and the large indoor gym means the kids always have space to play and stay active, no matter the weather. We also truly appreciate the consistent communication and photo updates throughout the day, which give working parents total peace of mind. Thank you to the Director Amanda and the administrative team are organized, responsive, very supportive and foster a welcoming, close-knit community. Her classroom teachers have shown endless patience, guiding our daughter through transitions, milestones, and daily routines with genuine love and care. We are deeply grateful to everyone at Cadence Paramus for treating our daughter like family and providing such a safe, supportive space for nurturing our daughter with so much warmth, care, and patience!

I’ve had such a wonderful experience with Cadence! We enrolled our son when he was 2 years old and he just turned 4. The staff are caring and friendly. They create a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where the kids can learn, play, and grow. I always feel comfortable knowing my child is in good hands and well cared for throughout the day. I’ve always enjoyed the opportunity for our son to join classes such as the cooking class and sports class. He enjoyed them so much. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a loving and trustworthy place for their child! We are only leaving because we’re now able to enroll our son into prek 4 in our town. If that wasn’t the case, we should keep him in Cadence. We will truly miss all the teachers here especially Ms. Caitlyn, Ms. Bree and Ms. Debbie, all of his teachers at each classroom!

Our daughter was at Cadence from 1 year old to almost 4 years old. We had a great experience. The teachers are very caring and loving, and the kids have so much fun with all the different activities. When the weather is nice they play outside and otherwise they’re in the indoor gym. In July and August they do water play outside. Our daughter is pretty shy but she opens up in school with her classmates and the wonderful teachers. We joined Cadence because it was recommended by a friend and it’s so nice to have the peace of mind to be able to trust the caregivers with your child. They are very communicative and flexible, and share pictures and updates throughout the day. She’s learned a lot and had a lot of fun. I’m glad we chose Cadence to care for our child until she was old enough for public Pre-K in our town.
