Dara Lavine
School Director
Dara Lavine is passionate about early childhood education, starting her journey earning an Associate’s Degree in the field from Guilford Technical Community College. Starting in 2003, she spent 13 years as a lead teacher in the three-year-old room before transitioning to a Pre-K teacher, where she taught for 5 years. From her excellence in that position, she was promoted to Assistant Director and Curriculum Coordinator, a role she has proudly served in for 9 years. Through these leadership experiences, she has gained skills in teaching, curriculum planning, staff support, and creating a positive learning environment for both children and teachers.
What she loves most about the job is the opportunity to make a positive impact during the most important years in a child’s life. She thinks the most rewarding part is watching children grow and discover the world around them with curiosity and excitement each day. With this passion, she hopes to display to the families of Milestones that she is caring, dependable, and wants the absolute best for the children and families in her care. By uniting families and staff, she believes she can create a safe, welcoming, positive environment for all, where teachers are supported and strong relationships built on communication and trust exist with families. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her own family and puppy, Jack, and making memories at the beach, movies, or mini golf. Being creative is also an important part of her life, leading her to hobbies of DIY projects for her home, creating things on her Cricut machine, decorating, baking, and cooking. No matter what she is doing, with over 20 years of experience, she is committed to helping children reach their full potential while making a positive difference in their lives each day.
Ashley Iglesias
Assistant Director

After moving to North Carolina, Ashley began her journey with Milestones School of Achievement, where she spent a year as a floater before becoming a lead Pre-K teacher for six years. She later worked in NC Pre-K for two years before transitioning to the toddler classroom, followed by serving as the School Age and Summer Camp Coordinator and office assistant for two years. Her dedication and experience have led her to her current role as Assistant Director at Milestones.
Ashley loves the opportunity to watch children and families grow and values the special bonds created through years of caring for children during their earliest years of learning and development. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, bowling with her husband and son, catching up with friends over lunch or coffee, and reading, she is rarely far from her Kindle.
