About Cadence Academy Preschool in Chesterfield, MO
Welcome to Cadence Academy, Chesterfield! We understand that finding the right child care provider can be difficult for many families and we’re to help you in any way that we can. Our preschool offers nurturing daycare services for infants and toddlers, educational preschool programs that are proven to prepare young minds for future success, and summer camp and before & after school care for elementary students.
Our school is a member of the Cadence Education Family of Schools and we changed our name from West County Day School to Cadence Academy Preschool, Chesterfield in September 2019. This change is part of our school’s ongoing commitment to providing families in Chesterfield the best preschool programming possible.

Kind Child
Preschool children need to have positive interpersonal experiences at a young age so they can develop the social skills needed to succeed in elementary school and as adults. Kind Child is a program that allows us to nurture and strengthen social skills and develop character. We focus on social and emotional skills every month within our Ascend Curriculum and introduce positive character traits such as a Positive Self-Image, Respect, and Thankfulness every two months. Our objective is to elevate the emotional well-being of each child in our care and encourage positive friendships!
An Exceptional Education
Cadence Academy is proud to offer preschool children an exceptional education that will serve them for years to come. Our Ascend Curriculum is skill-based and provides us a connected framework that progressively builds skill sets across 9 subject areas like Literacy, Technology, Spanish, and Physical Fitness every month.
Important skills are taught at every age level from Infant to Pre-Kindergarten and fine-tuned just before kindergarten in our popular Kindergarten Club program. Testing shows that this skill-based approach to early education is extremely effective at preparing children for kindergarten.

Cadence Academy, Chesterfield is conveniently located less than a mile from I-64 in Chesterfield, Missouri. You’ll want to get off the I-64 at Olive Boulevard and turn left into Hilltown Village Center. We’re on the north side of Olive at 15405 Olive Blvd, Chesterfield, MO 63017.

Welcome to Cadence Academy preschool in Chesterfield. A place that is near and dear to my heart. We strive to provide parents with peace of mind by giving an exceptional education every fun filled day in a place as nurturing as home.
I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2016. During my time as a student, I worked for the Jean Tyson Child Development Study Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas where I was involved in research into Early Childhood Education. Specifically, continuity of care. After graduating, I worked in Business for 7 years before coming back to Early Childhood Education.
After Covid, my values changed. I wanted to bring my business skills to a field where I would be fulfilled and lead with Kindness, and it’s no surprise Cadence is where I ended up.
I believe in solving the problem instead of treating the symptoms and I take this approach in everything that I do.
My favorite role is being a mom. I have two sweet boys who keep me busy and fill me with joy.
Nothing makes me happier than greeting families each day and bonding with my students. I love hosting events for our families, and I’m trained in conscious discipline.

Amanda Kocher

I absolutely love watching each child that I work with learn and grow. I have been in the Early Childhood field since 2002 and received a degree in Early Childhood from Webster University in 2004. I have taught infants through 1st grade, with a year as an SSD Para-educator. I have also worked as a mentor to new teachers, coordinated fundraising events, planned and organized School-Aged summer camps, and attended Professional Development conferences geared toward early learners. I am trained in Conscious Discipline and was a member of the Character Education Committee at Windsor Elementary.
I am the proud mother of 2 very energetic children. When we’re not at school, we love to spend time outdoors, go to the library, have dance parties, and watch movies. We also enjoy visiting our friends and family as often as possible. We are so excited to be a part of the Cadence Academy Family!

Warmest welcome!
I started at Cadence Academy, Chesterfield in October 2023 as assistant director, but came with over a decade of experience teaching. I attended University of Missouri – St. Louis and graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education with emphasis in Special Education. Throughout my teaching years I taught all ages but found the most love teaching prekindergarten. Now as assistant director I have the joy of welcoming new families to our school and caring for our current families!
In August 2023, my husband and I welcomed a son. He keeps me busy, but I still find time to enjoy things like hiking, crafting, and catching up with family and friends. I also strive to give back to my community whenever I can through volunteering and advocating with different organizations.
