About Cadence Academy Preschool in Chesterfield, MO
Welcome to Cadence Academy, Chesterfield! We understand that finding the right child care provider can be difficult for many families and we’re to help you in any way that we can. Our preschool offers nurturing daycare services for infants and toddlers, educational preschool programs that are proven to prepare young minds for future success, and summer camp and before & after school care for elementary students.
Our school is a member of the Cadence Education Family of Schools and we changed our name from West County Day School to Cadence Academy Preschool, Chesterfield in September 2019. This change is part of our school’s ongoing commitment to providing families in Chesterfield the best preschool programming possible.

Kind Child
Preschool children need to have positive interpersonal experiences at a young age so they can develop the social skills needed to succeed in elementary school and as adults. Kind Child is a program that allows us to nurture and strengthen social skills and develop character. We focus on social and emotional skills every month within our Ascend Curriculum and introduce positive character traits such as a Positive Self-Image, Respect, and Thankfulness every two months. Our objective is to elevate the emotional well-being of each child in our care and encourage positive friendships!
An Exceptional Education
Cadence Academy is proud to offer preschool children an exceptional education that will serve them for years to come. Our Ascend Curriculum is skill-based and provides us a connected framework that progressively builds skill sets across 9 subject areas like Literacy, Technology, Spanish, and Physical Fitness every month.
Important skills are taught at every age level from Infant to Pre-Kindergarten and fine-tuned just before kindergarten in our popular Kindergarten Club program. Testing shows that this skill-based approach to early education is extremely effective at preparing children for kindergarten.
Getting to Our Preschool
Cadence Academy, Chesterfield is conveniently located less than a mile from I-64 in Chesterfield, Missouri. You’ll want to get off the I-64 at Olive Boulevard and turn left into Hilltown Village Center. We’re on the north side of Olive at 15405 Olive Blvd, Chesterfield, MO 63017.

Welcome!
I joined the Cadence family in October 2023 as Assistant Director, bringing with me over a decade of experience in early childhood education. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach children of all ages, but my heart has always belonged to pre-kindergarten!
Now, as the Director, I have the incredible privilege of welcoming new families into our school and supporting the amazing families already in our care. Building strong relationships and creating a nurturing, joyful environment for children, staff, and families is truly my passion.
In August 2023, my husband and I welcomed our son, who keeps us on our toes and fills our lives with joy. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, crafting, and spending quality time with family and friends. I’m also passionate about giving back to the community through volunteer work and advocacy with local organizations.
I’m so excited to be part of your child’s early learning journey!
Amanda Kocher
Assistant Director
Hello and welcome! I’m honored to serve as the Assistant Director here at Cadence Academy Preschool, Chesterfield. I’ve been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2002 and earned my degree in Early Childhood from Webster University in 2004. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching children from infancy through first grade, as well as serving as a para-educator with Special School District.
In addition to classroom teaching, I’ve mentored new educators, coordinated school-wide fundraising events, and supported families and staff through every stage of early learning. I’m passionate about creating a positive, engaging school environment where children, families, and teachers all feel supported and celebrated.
Outside of school, I stay busy with my wonderful family. My husband and I have three amazing children, a son and two daughters. They are in every sport and club you can think of, dancing being one of the biggest for our two daughters, baseball for our son! I love bringing my experience as both an educator and a parent into everything I do here at Cadence.
I look forward to connecting with you and helping make your family’s experience at our school truly special.

I am the Early Preschool One teacher here at Cadence Academy Preschool, Chesterfield. I’ve been part of the Cadence family since 2019, and every day I’m reminded why I love what I do!
I hold a degree in Christian Education as well as a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. I’m passionate about creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where little ones can explore, grow, and discover the joy of learning. Watching young children develop new skills, gain confidence, and build friendships is truly the best part of my job!
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones—especially over a great meal or a fun board game night! I also love to cook, read, and relax with friends and family.
It’s a joy to be part of your child’s early learning journey, and I can’t wait to make this school year full of fun, growth, and memorable moments!
