Lil’ Explorers Childcare Center is a preschool and daycare serving the Ramsey area of Minnesota. Established in 2003, Lil’ Explorers Childcare Center continues to provide a safe environment for children — centered on exploration and development. Our Ramsey location is the newest of the Lil’ Explorers Preschools in Minnesota.Our expansive facilities offer plenty of room for your children to learn, grow, and develop, while our caring staff provides a nurturing and enriching atmosphere. Each facility features Infant Rooms, Toddler Rooms, Preschool Rooms, and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Rooms, along with a large gross motor room inside each location.It is the mission of our childcare staff to provide top-notch service for all families and provide an enjoyable and exciting time for all children in our care. Our preschool enrollment process in Ramsey, MN is simple for parents to complete.
Children ages 3-5 can get a head start on kindergarten readiness with Lil’ Explorers preschool programs. Our early childhood education ensures kids are ready to enroll in formal elementary school. The teachers at Lil’ Explorers support age-appropriate learning suited to each child’s interest and encourage children to make learning fun. We prepare them for elementary school classes by offering extended-day class options. Our program follows the Ascend Curriculum to promote social and emotional development among children.
Thanks to the flexibility of our Ascend Curriculum, we take an individualized approach to early childhood education and encourage every child to progress towards age-appropriate goals at their natural pace. New skills are introduced sequentially in 9 different learning domains each month and activities are modified to fit the interests and current skill level of each child. This skill-based approach to early education ensures that every child feels engaged, supported, and challenged and makes learning fun!
Another significant part of our curriculum is our Kind Child program. Kind Child is a year-long program for children ages two and older that helps our teachers nurture and strengthen every child’s social and emotional skills. We have found that when we focus on the emotional well-being of each child in our care, we strengthen our school as well. We are confident that Kind Child will continue to strengthen the culture of our entire preschool center by elevating every child’s feelings of happiness, improving their well-being, and enriching their friendships.
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer is a high-energy enrichment program designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork through fun, age-appropriate soccer play. Led by the teachers your child already knows and trusts, it’s seamlessly built into the school day.

My name is Lauri, and I am the School Director at Lil’ Explorers in Andover. I have been dedicated to the childcare field since 1998. Since joining Lil’ Explorers 2022, I’ve worn many different hats, from teacher, to Assistant Director, to Director. I live in Ramsey with my husband, Marv, and am a proud mother of two and grandmother of three. My number one goal is to ensure that every child and family at Lil’ Explorers has the best early childhood experience possible.
I first started with Lil Explorers team back in May 2019 as a Toddler Aide and I knew right away this is something I was going to love and decided to pursue my CDA to become a lead teacher, shortly after starting my CDA I transitioned into assistant toddler teacher role. I enjoyed my time doing that and was excited for my opportunity to become a Lead Teacher, In August 2020 I had the amazing opportunity to become a Preschool 1 Teacher, I have been the Pre1 lead ever since and have absolutely loved every minute of it. In April of 2023, I got the opportunity to expand my horizons once again to become Rogers Assistant Director. In 2018 I moved to Minnesota from Texas and married my amazing husband. We are big time outdoors people, we love to Mountain bike, snowboard, kayak, being on our boat, or just hang by the fire! I am so excited to get to know everyone here at Rogers!
