About Little Eggs Childcare Center
Located in Hanover, Maryland, Little Eggs Child Care Center provides a nurturing, relationship-driven environment for children 6 weeks through 5 years old. Through our #SimplyLove philosophy, every child is known, supported, and celebrated as an individual. Our secure campus, professionally developed curriculum, and daily communication through the HiMama® app give families peace of mind while children build confidence, independence, and school-readiness skills. At Little Eggs, learning happens through curiosity, connection, and joy — and every child feels at home.
Our Mission
At Little Eggs Child Care Center, our mission is to provide child care in a safe, fun, and educational environment where children are prepared for success. We believe it is important to learn social and emotional skills as well as develop academically. Our center focuses on the individual needs of each child while providing these skills.

Curriculum
We use the FunShine Digital® Curriculum, a professionally developed early-learning curriculum designed to build confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills. Lesson plans are themed, structured, and developmentally appropriate for each age group.

Preschool Scholarship Program (Maryland Child Care Scholarship)
Little Eggs participates in the Maryland Child Care Scholarship Program, which offers financial assistance to help families cover the cost of care.
Our Daycare and Preschool Programs
Infant & Toddler Program (6 weeks – 24 months)
- Sensory-based learning, nurturing environment
- Daily reports shared with families through the HiMama® app
- Focus on secure attachment, routines, and early communication
Preschool Program (Age 3)
- Introduction to academic readiness through play
- Rotating two-week themes
- Focus on language, literacy, creative arts, math, and science
Pre-Kindergarten Program (Ages 4–5)
- Structured curriculum preparing children for kindergarten success
- Development in eight domains: language, literacy, math, science, social studies, creative arts, approaches to learning, and physical health
- Assessments and parent conferences
Summer Program
- Weekly global-themed adventures (countries, cultures, music, art)
- Water play, outdoor events, special visitors and activities
Wellness Program
Little Eggs has a strong commitment to health and wellness for both children and the team. The Wellness Program emphasizes nutrition, stress-management, positive self-esteem and healthy habits — not just weight management. Regular physical activity is encouraged through programs like “Get Moving,” which promotes daily half-hour walks and helps reduce risks of chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Healthy cooking is integrated via a “Healthy Cookbook” of nutritionist-approved recipes, along with online educational resources, lunch-time sessions and on-site fitness opportunities.

Chanel Harris
School Director
Chanel has dedicated 14 years to working with young children in childcare, the past 10 of those years at Little Eggs. Chanel received her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from CCBC and a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Mount Everest University. She takes pride in knowing that she makes a difference in young children’s lives and it makes her heart smile each day. Chanel’s motto is “it takes a village!” and creates a true partnership with families in the development of the children at Little Eggs.
Pamela Comedy
Director of Business Administration and Employee Development
With over a decade of experience in adult and early childhood education administration, Pam is passionate about creating nurturing, well-run environments where children thrive. She loves watching their curiosity bloom and support our leaders, teachers and families who help shape their growth every day.
Mounika Thotakura
Administration Head
Mounika is a dedicated administrative professional skilled in childcare operations, billing, and compliance. She recently became certified in both Infant/Toddler and Preschool and hopes to add School Age to her repertoire soon. Mounika is passionate about early childhood education and fostering a nurturing environment for young learners at Little Eggs Child Care.
