Cadence Academy Preschool (formerly Luminous Learners) is a preschool and daycare in Walpole, MA. Our staff is well educated and experienced in the child care field.

Your littlest loves will fully experience every beautiful, unique day at Luminous Learners. We look forward to hearing about and supporting your child care needs! We have programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and pre-K students to make sure your child is prepared for Kindergarten and beyond. We are proud to lead the way in preparing children for kindergarten.

Through our specialized curriculum and dedicated teachers, we strive to ensure that your child is not just ready for kindergarten, but ready to excel. In 2024, 100% of the Pre-K children assessed in our school demonstrated Readiness or Advanced Readiness for Kindergarten!

Early Childhood Education has been a part of my life since I was 15 years old.  I started working with children in an afterschool program when I was in High School which is where my love for children began.  Watching children progress in their development is so special. Children are naturally curious and innocent in their ways of thinking.  Being a part of their explorations, curiosity and achievements brings me joy.  When I’m not at work,  I find great pleasure in watching my daughter ride horses. On the weekends, I love to go for walks on trails, take bike rides with my children and grandchildren, and depending on the season, we like to ice skate or go to the beach.

I started as a teacher assistant and moved my way up over the 40 years I’ve been working in early childhood education. I’ve also been an Education/Disability Manager. The best thing is when I walk into a classroom or sit on the floor and the children give me hugs or sing with me.  I have learned from every child, teacher and family and have grown through the experience. In my free time I enjoy doing things with my family or reading.

I started working childhood education in 2017 as a TA. This past year I was able to get my Teacher’s certificate. I am currently enrolled in classes to be a lead teacher. I love providing positive guidance as well as offering a safe environment where children are able to gain knowledge and grow at their own pace. When I am not at the school, I enjoy spending time with my family, riding on the back of my husband’s motorcycle, gardening and lots of self care. I am excited to learn as much as I can through both my co-workers and children.

I have my son at Cadence Preschool Academy for about a year now, and I can honestly say we’ve had such a great experience. I really love this school and feel so lucky that my son gets to be there. I truly think it’s one of the best daycares in Walpole. I especially want to recognize Miss Brooks and Miss Heather. They’re so attentive and caring, and I can tell they genuinely care about the kids. As a parent, that means so much to me. It’s such a good feeling to know that when I drop my son off, he’s somewhere he feels comfortable, happy, and cared for. I’ve also been really impressed with how much he’s learned over the past year. They actually follow a curriculum and work with the kids on so many different things. I’ve noticed a big difference in his fine motor skills, independence, communication, and just his overall development. It’s been so nice watching him learn new things and become more confident. I’m so thankful to the teachers and staff at Cadence for everything they do for him. We’ve had such a positive experience, and I would absolutely recommend Cadence to any parent looking for a loving and supportive place for their child.

Under the new management team led by Keri this place has really turned the corner in the best way. The facility is nice, locations great and good sized outdoor spaces for play. We send our 2 year old here and his teachers Kaitlyn and Kiley are nurturing and care so much for every toddler in their room! They’re great with providing updates and feedback throughout the day. I highly recommend Cadence!

We’ve had both of our children here since October 2024, and we’ve been very happy with our experience. The teachers and staff genuinely care about the kids, and it shows in the way they interact with them every day. Our children are happy, well cared for, and excited to go each morning. In the past year, we’ve especially seen a positive impact throughout the center since Keri has joined the team. We’re grateful for the care our family has received!

My daughter has been attending this center since she was 8 months old and she just turned 3. I have had a great experience with her teachers, from her infant room, toddler class and now preschool class. They are always working on ‘activities’ as she calls it, and their curriculum covers so much. The new director and leadership team is very communicative, approachable, and supportive. The teachers all genuinely seem to care about the care they provide. I would certainly recommend this center!
