Cadence Academy Preschool in Norwood is located in the Rama Stop Plaza. We offer high-quality child care services and learning activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, along with summer programs for elementary school aged children. Our child care center and classrooms are big, bright, warm, and welcoming and you HAVE to see our fantastic gross motor room! Our lead teachers are licensed child care providers and educators who are experienced in early childhood education!

Our Norwood child care programs offer affordable rates, convenient hours, and a great location with easy access to Route 128 and Route 1. We are steps away from the MBTA stop, allowing our parents easy access to Boston after drop-off.

Our activities are designed to engage and challenge each child at his or her own level. Children retain more when they’re having fun, so our programs emphasize learning through play.

At our Norwood preschool, we utilize the Ascend Curriculum, which is proven to help children think critically, learn to solve problems, and become more independent.

Our age-appropriate classrooms are warm and inviting. Within each classroom, we have distinct interest areas consisting of blocks, table toys, art, cooking, computers, library, house corner, and outdoor play.

These well-defined areas present clear activity choices to children and give them control over their time throughout the day. Play materials are on low shelves, in containers, and on hooks so that they are easily reachable and children gain a sense of independence.

Through thoughtful efforts, we will turn ordinary caregiving routines into teachable moments based on individual needs and developmental levels, following a curriculum designed for even our youngest learners.

We believe that it is important for children to feel comfortable and confident in a school setting before they start kindergarten. That’s why we offer pre-kindergarten programs that prepare children for the transition into elementary school. Our curriculum sets a strong foundation for your little ones’ academic success.

Parent Communication App

The Cadence Academy Preschool network uses an extraordinary Parent Communication App that our teachers use daily to relay information and send pictures to family members, send newsletters, and track developmental progress for each child’s portfolio!

With this application, parents and guardians at our Norwood center and all other Cadence Academy schools are able to opt into email or text alerts, and they can receive any information, instantaneously, about their child and their child’s school day.

Parent Login

Teachers and staff can tag daily pictures with our Developmental Domains (Social/Emotional, Physical, Artistic, Cognitive, and Language/Literacy) and are then able to communicate with the parents and guardians by adding captions or sending quick little notes.

Families LOVE this feature, and we’re utilizing it more and more each day! We are so excited to be able to communicate with our families throughout the day and to show them what their children are learning each day.
