About TARTT’s Daycare Center in Boston, MA
TARTTs Daycare Centers proudly introduces TARTTs at The Factory, our newest location serving children from 2 months to 4 years, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Situated between Harrison Avenue and Albany Street in Boston’s Historic South End, this vibrant center features modern and uniquely designed classrooms that inspire creativity and foster learning, two exclusive outdoor play spaces for exploration and fun, and an indoor play space to ensure active playtime regardless of the weather. At TARTTs at The Factory, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young minds can grow, play, and thrive.
Our Programs
At TARTTs Day Care Center, we’re committed to nurturing well-rounded development through engaging, age-appropriate programs. Our curriculum encourages exploration, creativity, and growth across multiple areas, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Learning About the World
We spark young children’s natural curiosity through daily sensory exploration. From books and sensory tables to songs and interactive activities, children experience a variety of sights, sounds, textures, and sensations. Developing Motor Skills
Movement is essential for a toddler’s growth. Our program emphasizes activities that enhance both gross and fine motor skills, including tummy time, safe indoor exploration, and outdoor play. We also promote independence by teaching practical skills such as using buttons, zippers, and snaps, as well as learning to eat with utensils and drink from a cup.
Understanding Self and Others

Infant Care
Our infant care program invites children starting at the age of six weeks up to 18 months. Though leaving your little one for the first time is a big step, our nurturing environment is designed to feel just like a home away from home. Choosing our program ensures your baby receives personalized attention that supports their earliest developmental milestones.
Toddler Care
Our toddler care program invites children starting at 12 months up to 3 years old. Though toddlers are full of boundless energy, our environment is designed to channel that curiosity into safe exploration. Choosing a program that balances hands-on learning with guided play is a key step in fostering your child’s emerging independence.
Preschool
Our preschool program invites children starting at 3 years up to 5 years old. Though we introduce early academic concepts, we believe that learning happens naturally through open-ended play. Choosing our preschool environment helps build the essential “I can do it” confidence that serves as a foundation for their future education.

Alexa Schlicher
Assistant Director
Alexa Schlicher brings a lifelong passion for early childhood education to her role as Assistant Director. With a degree in Sociology focused on Children and Families, and years of hands-on experience as a preschool teacher, nanny, and student teacher, she is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where both children and educators can thrive. Alexa believes the earliest years are the foundation for a child’s future and finds joy in fostering connection and growth. Outside of work, she enjoys arts and crafts, playing guitar, crocheting, painting, caring for her pets, and diving into a good book.
