Another significant part of our curriculum is our Kind Child program. Kind Child is a year-long program for children ages two and older that helps our teachers nurture and strengthen every child’s social and emotional skills. We have found that when we focus on the emotional well-being of each child in our care, we strengthen our school as well. We are confident that Kind Child will continue to strengthen the culture of our entire preschool center by elevating every child’s feelings of happiness, improving their well-being, and enriching their friendships.
Providing your child an exceptional education is an important part of our promise to you. Our Ascend Curriculum is a vehicle that will gently guide your child towards future success in kindergarten and elementary school. Our skill-based curriculum starts in our Infant and Toddler classrooms and progresses all the way through Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten. Important skills in 9 different subject areas are progressively introduced and polished just before kindergarten in Kindergarten Club.
Ashley has 10 years experience working in Early Childhood. She began her career as a pre- kindergarten teacher and since then has gained experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool children. Ashley joined NGCC Andover in 2018 as Lead Teacher, and was then promoted to Program Manager in 2022. Ashley has a her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and Science with a concentration in Early Education. She is Director II through the Department of EEC. Ashley believes that children can thrive when families and educators work together and that together we can create a nurturing and a fun learning environment for them to grow in.
Emily has 12 years of experience in the Early childhood education field and has been part of our NGCC family since 2025. She graduated from Merrimack College with a bachelor’s degree in Children, Family & Community Studies with concentration in Early Childhood Administration and Leadership. She is certified through Director II through the Department of EEC. Her favorite children’s book is Corduroy by Don Freeman. Emily’s favorite thing about being in a Leadership role is helping teachers grow and watching them succeed. She thrives in a culture where teachers feel supported and valued in the classroom.
Bringing a lifelong passion for working with children, Michelle Altieri has built her career around helping young learners feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. She studied Early Childhood Education and earned her CDA through North Shore Community College and Ramsden. Michelle enjoys creating warm, engaging environments where children can build independence, form meaningful relationships, and discover their unique strengths.
Michelle’s journey in early childhood education began with babysitting and preschool jobs as a teenager before expanding into roles as a nanny, teacher, and educational leader. Over the years, she has served in leadership positions with the YMCA, Boys & Girls Club, and multiple early childhood programs. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys hiking, skiing, paddleboarding, foraging, crafting, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She loves being involved in her community and helping create memorable experiences for the children and families she serves.
