About Cadence Academy Preschool in Romeoville

Cadence Academy Preschool, Romeoville was originally a Rogy’s Learning Center, but changed its name in September 2018 after joining the Cadence Education Family of Schools. Our affiliation with Cadence Education gets us access to a number of excellent early education programs including the Ascend Curriculum and the Kind Child program. Our preschool is dedicated to making the most of these important early years and we take a skill-based approach that allows us to help each child develop socially, emotionally, creatively, and academically. And, as elementary schools change schedules and requirements, we will be here to serve your needs and the needs of your school-aged children with virtual learning support and more.

Cadence KickStart™ Soccer

Big Fun. Little Players. Growing Confidence.

Cadence KickStart™ Soccer is a high-energy enrichment program designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork through fun, age-appropriate soccer play. Led by the teachers your child already knows and trusts, it’s seamlessly built into the school day.

Program Highlights:

Designed for ages 3–5

12-week program (once per week)

40–50 minute sessions

Builds balance, coordination, and motor skills

Encourages listening, teamwork, and confidence

ExceleRate Illinois is a statewide quality recognition and improvement system for preschools and daycare providers. Cadence Academy Preschool, Romeoville has taken the steps necessary to earn ExceleRate’s Silver Circle of Quality. Silver Circle childcare programs must meet or exceed quality standards for training & education, administration, teaching quality, and learning environment.

Family Involvement

Family involvement is a key aspect of an effective preschool program and we believe that children thrive when a partnership exists between school and home. We have an open-door policy at our preschool center and we welcome you to visit your child at any time. We also encourage you to participate in annual events, field trips, and class projects.

Getting To Our Preschool

Located at 30 N Old Budler Rd, Romeoville, IL 60446, our center sits conveniently near the corner of W Taylor Road. We are wonderfully close to Kenneth Hermansen Elementary and Century Park, offering a smooth, stress-free morning drop-off for neighborhood families.

Situated less than a mile from where Route 126 merges with I-55, our center ensures an effortless daily commute. This highly accessible location makes travel simple for parents commuting locally or heading into neighboring Plainfield and Bolingbrook.

I have been working in the early childhood education field for over 2 decades in various roles. I have an associate in applied science degree for child care and a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education leadership. I have worked in all classrooms at some point or another in my career and found I have a passion for helping all ages as well as mentoring the teachers and working closely with the families. I have two crazy children that definitely complete me and make everyday crazy but worthwhile. I’m looking forward to this next adventure and getting to know a new group of families and educators along the way. Feel free to come talk to me if you have any questions or concerns my door is always open.

I have been in the childcare field since August of 2012 and yes, it is definitely a passion! Although I am a native to the southwest suburbs of Illinois, I spent eight years in the DC metro area where I honed my classroom teaching skills and managerial skills as an Education Coordinator, Assistant Director, and Director. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from National Louis University. I also hold an Associate in Arts degree and an Associate in General Studies degree from Joliet Junior College. I have two happy and fun children, and we love to get hands on and take adventures! From Ocean Beach trips to children’s museums and inclusive playgrounds you will find us with large smiles on our faces!

NAC offers early childhood leaders the opportunity to demonstrate and document quality performance using research-based criteria and evidence-based practices. The National Accreditation Commission provides a comprehensive, ongoing quality improvement system and accredited schools must meet standards in the following 6 component areas: Administration, Family Engagement, Health and Safety, Curriculum, Interactions between Teachers and Children, and Classroom Health and Safety.

I love everything about my Cadence family. My daughters love Cadence and I couldn't live without them. They are truly like family. A very loving staff and environment for a kid to learn and grow cheers to almost four years with you all.

Finding the right care for your children is one of the most challenging parts of parenthood, but since enrolling my little ones at Cadence Academy in Romeoville, I can honestly say they have been a heaven-sent addition to our lives. As a parent, I know firsthand that raising children is a demanding journey, but I have immense respect for the staff here. Dealing with multiple children—each with their own personality and needs—on a daily basis is no small feat, yet the teachers handle it with such incredible grace and patience. My own children can be a handful, but the team at Cadence Academy truly partners with me every single day. They are deeply committed to working through challenges alongside me, providing the support and guidance needed to get my little ones adjusted. Their proactive approach has made what could have been a stressful transition feel absolutely seamless. If you are looking for a center that treats your children with genuine care and supports you as a parent through the ups and downs, I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you, Cadence Academy, for being such a vital part of our village.

I definitely recommend this daycare. My grandchildren and daughter have been cared for by some truly wonderful staff, and I am grateful for the love, patience, and support they have received. A special thank you to Ms. Bernadette, Ms. Dorothy, Ms. Monse, Ms. Theresa, and especially Ms. Bree, who was exceptional with my grandbabies. There are several other staff members who also made and continue to make a positive impact, even if I can’t name everyone individually. If I could offer one piece of constructive feedback, it would be to always use communication with staff if something is going on in your life. Clear, timely communication makes a tremendous difference, especially when it comes to enrollment, policy changes, and day-to-day concerns. I also encourage maintaining a balance between the financial aspects of enrollment to avoid disruptions. I had to remind myself, it is still a business. Parents want to know their children are valued just as much as the paperwork and processes and I felt it. Overall, my experience has been positive, and I while things happen, I appreciate the care my children received. Thank you to the staff who show up each day and make a difference in the lives of our children.

My son has gone here since 3 months old, and he's 3 now. As an anxious mom, the staff have been wonderful. From letting me come visit him and bring breast milk the first several months while I adjusted to now the management staff sending me messages when I have a tough drop off to let me know he's OK, they've just been a God-send. I also feel like the activities are great and a good range for different students' interests, so they're always learning and exploring. My son has made friends and is excited to tell me about his day when I pick him up, so it makes my heart feel better since I can't be with him all the time. Also love the app because I can check what he did and what he ate and feel like he's taken care of.
