About Cadence Academy Preschool in Romeoville
Cadence Academy Preschool, Romeoville was originally a Rogy’s Learning Center, but changed its name in September 2018 after joining the Cadence Education Family of Schools. Our affiliation with Cadence Education gets us access to a number of excellent early education programs including the Ascend Curriculum and the Kind Child program. Our preschool is dedicated to making the most of these important early years and we take a skill-based approach that allows us to help each child develop socially, emotionally, creatively, and academically. And, as elementary schools change schedules and requirements, we will be here to serve your needs and the needs of your school-aged children with virtual learning support and more.

Silver Circle of Quality & NAC Accreditation
ExceleRate Illinois is a statewide quality recognition and improvement system for preschools and daycare providers. Cadence Academy Preschool, Romeoville has taken the steps necessary to earn ExceleRate’s Silver Circle of Quality. Silver Circle childcare programs must meet or exceed quality standards for training & education, administration, teaching quality, and learning environment.
We have also earned accreditation through the National Accreditation Commission (NAC) and we are currently the only preschool or daycare center in Romeoville to do so. The National Accreditation Commission has 91 Standards in areas such as Classroom Health and Safety, Interactions between Teachers and Children, Family Engagement, and Administration which must be met and maintained to keep this accreditation.
Family Involvement
Family involvement is a key aspect of an effective preschool program and we believe that children thrive when a partnership exists between school and home. We have an open-door policy at our preschool center and we welcome you to visit your child at any time. We also encourage you to participate in annual events, field trips, and class projects.
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer

Cadence KickStart™ Soccer is a high-energy enrichment program designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork through fun, age-appropriate soccer play. Led by the teachers your child already knows and trusts, it’s seamlessly built into the school day.
Program Highlights:
- Designed for ages 3–5
- 12-week program (once per week)
- 40–50 minute sessions
- Builds balance, coordination, and motor skills
- Encourages listening, teamwork, and confidence
- No prior soccer experience needed
- Integrated into your child’s daily schedule

We’re less than a mile from where Illinois Route 126 merges with the I-55. Bernadette Juricek
School Director
I have been working in the early childhood education field for over 2 decades in various roles. I have an associate in applied science degree for child care and a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education leadership. I have worked in all classrooms at some point or another in my career and found I have a passion for helping all ages as well as mentoring the teachers and working closely with the families. I have two crazy children that definitely complete me and make everyday crazy but worthwhile. I’m looking forward to this next adventure and getting to know a new group of families and educators along the way. Feel free to come talk to me if you have any questions or concerns my door is always open.
Ebony Hayes
Assistant Director
I have been in the childcare field since August of 2012 and yes, it is definitely a passion! Although I am a native to the southwest suburbs of Illinois, I spent eight years in the DC metro area where I honed my classroom teaching skills and managerial skills as an Education Coordinator, Assistant Director, and Director. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from National Louis University. I also hold an Associate in Arts degree and an Associate in General Studies degree from Joliet Junior College. I have two happy and fun children, and we love to get hands on and take adventures! From Ocean Beach trips to children’s museums and inclusive playgrounds you will find us with large smiles on our faces!

The National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAC) is a national accreditation program that was developed for early care and educational programs. NAC offers early childhood leaders the opportunity to demonstrate and document quality performance using research-based criteria and evidence-based practices. The National Accreditation Commission provides a comprehensive, ongoing quality improvement system and accredited schools must meet standards in the following 6 component areas: Administration, Family Engagement, Health and Safety, Curriculum, Interactions between Teachers and Children, and Classroom Health and Safety.
