Kind Child
Kind Child is the cornerstone of our preschool’s culture and an important subject within our Ascend Curriculum. Kind Child was built upon the premise that young children can only begin to develop empathy by understanding feelings. We help every child develop emotional intelligence by focusing on new social skills every month and a valuable character trait every two months. Our goal is elevate the emotional well-being of each child in our care, which in turn strengthens our school!
Ascend Curriculum
An exceptional education is a significant part of our school’s promise to you. Being a part of the Cadence Education Family of Schools gives us access to preschool programming that you won’t find anywhere else. Our proprietary Ascend Curriculum allows us to help children progressively build skill sets across 9 different subject areas including Literacy, Spanish, Science & Sensory, Technology, and Physical Fitness.
We work towards important developmental milestones at every age level, which helps our students feel confident and ready when it’s time for the big transition into elementary school. Our teachers are trained to select and modify individual activities so that they fit the interests and learning styles of their students, which makes these first educational experiences engaging and fun! We want your child to develop a lifelong love of learning and the Ascend Curriculum provides us a flexible framework to make that ideal a reality.

Our Team

Michele Campbell
Director
Hello, my name is Michele Campbell and I’m the Director here at Adventures in Learning in Oswego. I have been part of the Adventures in Learning team since 2005.
I first started working at an early learning school in 2001, floating around the school and working with all of the different age groups. In 2005, I become the Lead Teacher in the 2 year old classroom at Adventures in Learning in Aurora and I enjoyed watching the 2’s reach new milestones. In 2007, I had the opportunity to become the Assistant Direct here at Adventures in Learning in Oswego and in 2010, I become the Director. I have always enjoyed the daily interaction with our parents and children. I love going to all the classrooms and watching the children learn a new milestone.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a large family and we spend a lot of quality time together. I like to vacation at Walt Disney World. When I’m not at Adventures in Learning, I enjoy running, reading, and going to the movies.

Aimee Brossman
Assistant Director
I have been working in childcare since 2005. I began at AIL in 2013 as the lead in the Two year old classroom and in 2018 moved to the lead in the Toddler Room. In November 2019, I moved to Assistant Director. I have really enjoyed working with all age groups and seeing the children make educational, social and emotional growth. I also enjoy the parent/family relationships as well. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband & 3 children. We enjoy traveling, swimming in our pool, and hanging out with friends.

Steve Bleizeffer
Teacher of the Year
I started working day care in July of 2003 as a teacher’s assistant. I became a lead in 2011 and also earned my CDA a couple of years ago. I attended Waubonsie Valley High School & Columbia College Chicago for Film & Video Production. I enjoy introducing kids to new ideas and concepts and seeing what interests them. Outside of childcare, I like to go to the movies and hangout with friend and write. I like writing, film and video production. I used to play video games until my PS3 broke. You never know what to expect in life. I never planned to work with kids and here I am still 22 years later. Life moves faster than expected.
