💛 Important Update for Our Cadence Academy Preschool Families
With full hearts, we are announcing that Cadence Academy Preschool in Normal, Illinois will be closing. This decision has been very difficult, and we want to extend our deepest gratitude to every family who has been part of our community here.
Thank you for trusting us with your children. Watching them learn, grow in confidence, make friends, and find joy in their school days has been an extraordinary privilege. The laughter in our classrooms, the artwork on the walls, and all the meaningful moments shared will always hold a special place in our memories.
To all of our children and families—past and present—you are forever part of the Cadence family. We have been honored to care for and support your children and are so proud of their growth and accomplishments.

About Cadence Academy Preschool in Normal, IL
At Cadence Academy Preschool, we believe that every day is an opportunity to explore, learn through play, create friendships, and simply enjoy being a kid. We encourage the development of curiosity and persistence in our daycare and preschool programs by giving our students an appropriate level of control in their own learning process.
We take a skill-based approach to early education and individualize educational activities to the interests and current skill level of each student through our Ascend Curriculum. Our goal is to create well-rounded students through fun and engaging activities that actively develop intellectual, social, emotional, and physical skill. Our preschool teachers progressively introduce new skills within learning domains such as Mathematics, Technology, Cultural Understanding, and Creative Expression each month.

NAC Accreditation & Silver Circle of Quality
We are proud to be an NAC Accredited daycare center. Our accreditation is a reflection of our staff’s hard work and dedication and demonstrates our commitment to providing high-quality programming. Accreditation helps us maintain important standards of care, but also provides a framework for us to continue to enhance and assess our childcare programs. Our preschool has also earned the Silver Circle of Quality through ExceleRate Illinois. Silver Circle programs must meet or exceed quality standards in learning environment and teaching quality, training & education, and administrative standards.
Positive Behavior Support
We utilize Positive Behavior Support (PBS) to reduce or eliminate challenging behavior in our preschool classrooms. This approach was developed by the Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) and uses a pyramid model to address social and emotional needs of children. PBS greatly reduces the amount of time our staff and teachers spend addressing challenging behaviors and allows us to focus more attention on the development of our students.

Cadence Academy Preschool, Kays is conveniently located at 409 Kays Dr, Normal, IL 61761. We were previously a Rogy’s Learning Center location, but changed our name in September 2018 after we became part of the Cadence Education Family of Schools. Hi, I’m Katie! I’ve been with Cadence Academy for 7 years and have loved every step of the journey. For the past year, I’ve been in the preschool classroom, and it’s quickly become my favorite place to be! In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my fiancé, and going on adventures with our chocolate lab, Tucker.

NAC Accreditation
The National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAC) is a national accreditation program that was developed for early care and educational programs. NAC offers early childhood leaders the opportunity to demonstrate and document quality performance using research-based criteria and evidence-based practices. The National Accreditation Commission provides a comprehensive, ongoing quality improvement system and accredited schools must meet standards in the following 6 component areas: Administration, Family Engagement, Health and Safety, Curriculum, Interactions between Teachers and Children, and Classroom Health and Safety.
