About Cadence Academy Preschool in Montgomery, IL
We believe in making the most of early childhood at Cadence Academy Preschool, Montgomery and we continually take steps to ensure our preschool provides extraordinary care and an exceptional education for every child. Our convenient location allows us to serve the towns of Oswego, West Aurora, Yorkville and Montgomery.
Our teachers take a skill-based approach to early education through our Ascend Curriculum, which has a flexible framework that effectively balances social, emotional, physical, and academic development. We work towards important developmental milestones within nine subjects every month and progressively build valuable skill sets that will serve your child for years to come!

Safety & Security
At Cadence Academy Preschool, our number one priority is to keeping your children safe. We ask all of our families to help us remain proactive when it comes to security and keep door codes private. Please have all other visitors ring the facility’s doorbell as you’re entering and exiting. We are always available during school hours to check identification. We also have an internal video security system so our directors and front office staff can monitor activity in each classroom. In addition, we provide our families with a parent communication app that provides you with real-time updates and pictures so you can follow your child’s day.
Getting To Our Preschool
Our Montgomery center is located at 2031 Mayfield Dr, Montgomery, IL 60538, just off S Orchard Rd near US-30. We sit minutes from Lakewood Creek Elementary and Austin Park, making morning drop-offs seamless for local families.
With immediate access to US-30, Route 34, and nearby I-88, our center offers a fast, simple commute toward Aurora, Oswego, Yorkville, and Naperville.

Katie Marfise
Director
I was recently promoted to Director and I’m happy to be working alongside Brooke, the staff, and the families here at Cadence Academy Preschool. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University Chicago and have been in the field for the last 15 years. Throughout my career, I have been an Assistant Teacher, a Preschool Teacher, an Assistant Director, and now a Director.
My goal is to give you peace of mind every day and I thank you for entrusting us with the care of your child.
Telisa Lee
Assistant Director
Telisa Lee is the Assistant Director at Cadence Academy Preschool, Montgomery. She earned her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from National Louis University and has a passion for helping young children learn, grow, and reach important developmental milestones. Telisa finds great joy in making a positive difference in children’s lives and believes that every child deserves a nurturing environment where they can thrive.
Telisa began her career in early childhood education in 2012 as a teacher and has dedicated herself to supporting children and families ever since. During the pandemic, she continued teaching through e-learning, helping her students stay engaged and connected. After joining Cadence, she advanced from teacher to leadership role after completing the Leadership Training Program (LTP). In her free time, Telisa enjoys spending time with her family and shopping. She looks forward to building strong relationships with the children and families in the Montgomery community.

NAC Accreditation
The National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAC) is a national accreditation program that was developed for early care and educational programs. NAC offers early childhood leaders the opportunity to demonstrate and document quality performance using research-based criteria and evidence-based practices. The National Accreditation Commission provides a comprehensive, ongoing quality improvement system and accredited schools must meet standards in the following 6 component areas: Administration, Family Engagement, Health and Safety, Curriculum, Interactions between Teachers and Children, and Classroom Health and Safety.
