Previously operating under the name Rogy’s Learning Place, we changed our name to Cadence Academy Preschool, Burr Ridge in September 2018 as part of our preschool’s ongoing commitment to providing Burr Ridge families the best daycare and early education programs possible. Cadence Academy is a recognized leader in early childhood education and has developed a number of proprietary preschool programs such as the Ascend Curriculum, Kind Child program, and Kindergarten Club to ensure that our young students develop social, emotional, and academic skills while in our care.

Social & Emotional Development
Cadence Academy Preschool offers programs that enhance social and emotional development and we utilize Positive Behavior Support (PBS) because it proactively prevents challenging behaviors by building positive relationships with children and families and creates a supportive environment for our students. This approach was originally created by the Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) and leverages a pyramid model to address the social and emotional needs of students.

I have been in the field of early child education for 7 years and I’m currently completing my Bachelor’s Degree with Rasmussen College in Early Child Education Leadership & Child Development. I began my career working as an Infant and Toddler Teacher and was later offered an Assistant Director position. I am looking forward to this new adventure working with the children, families, and teachers at Cadence Academy Preschool in Burr Ridge and helping the center continue to provide quality care and education.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Leadership from Rasmussen College and have been working in child care since 2005. I recently married my husband and together we have a beautiful daughter and two crazy dogs. I love spending free time with my family and friends that have become family.
