School Director
I’m originally from Kansas, where I started working with children. I had been working in a nursing home for about 5 years and wanted to try something new, so I started working with the infants in a preschool. I loved taking care of children and soon moved into the three-year-old room. I moved to Georgia in 1996 and started working in a child care center where I worked for 7 years until I moved up as Assistant Director. I learned that I also love the business side of child care. I moved to Director spot a few years later. I got married in 2010 to my husband Steve. I also gained a son, Zack, who was in kindergarten. We spent a lot of time at the lake and we spend our extra time in the yard and garden.
Michele Allen
Assistant Director
Michele Allen serves as the Assistant Director at Cadence Academy Preschool of Rosebud, and brings a strong passion, organization, and a deep commitment to early childhood development to every aspect of her role. With a strong background in administration, she supports the center’s daily operations, ensures curriculum quality, and fosters a nurturing environment where children thrive. Michele works closely with teachers, families, and the Director to maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive setting for all children. Known for her calm leadership style and hands-on approach, she helps guide staff development and uphold high standards of care. Her warm demeanor and strong organizational skills play a key role in supporting daily operations, curriculum implementation, staff training, and parent communication. Michele is dedicated to helping every child feel valued, safe, and ready to learn and is committed to the well-being and success of each child and the overall daycare community.
