About Sunbrook Academy Preschool in Austell, GA
Welcome to Sunbrook Academy at Barnes Mill in Austell, Georgia! Our preschool center offers a warm, loving atmosphere and year-round educational programs that encourage a lifelong love of learning.
Our preschool makes the most of your child’s first educational experiences through our Ascend Curriculum, which takes a skill-based approach to academic, physical, creative, and social-emotional development.
Our daycare and preschool programs work in coordination to progressively build skill sets within 9 different subject areas so that every student gains the skills and confidence they need for future academic success. Our teachers are encouraged to individualize activities to accommodate the interests and current skill level of each student, which makes these first educational experiences fun and engaging!

Our Food for Thought Program
Sunbrook Academy is also dedicated to your child’s physical well-being. Our Food for Thought Program ensures that our students are fed nutritious meals and snacks that nurture both body and mind. Our Food for Thought menus feature fresh fruits and vegetables, low-fat proteins, and a limited amount of sugar. Ask to see our menus when you come in for a visit!
Kind Child Program
Another significant part of our curriculum is our Kind Child program. Kind Child is a year-long program for children ages two and older that helps our teachers nurture and strengthen every child’s social and emotional skills. We have found that when we focus on the emotional well-being of each child in our care, we strengthen our school as well. We are confident that Kind Child will continue to strengthen the culture of our entire preschool center by elevating every child’s feelings of happiness, improving their well-being, and enriching their friendships.
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer
Big Fun. Little Players. Growing Confidence.
Cadence KickStart™ Soccer is a high-energy enrichment program designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork through fun, age-appropriate soccer play. Led by the teachers your child already knows and trusts, it’s seamlessly built into the school day.
Program Highlights:
Designed for ages 3–5
12-week program (once per week)
40–50 minute sessions
Builds balance, coordination, and motor skills
Encourages listening, teamwork, and confidence
Integrated into your child’s daily schedule

Kids Cafe Preschool Cooking Program
Cooking Up Confidence, One Recipe At A Time!
Kids Café is a hands-on cooking program where children explore new foods, build confidence, and develop essential life skills through fun, guided kitchen experiences.
Program Highlights:
- Designed for ages 3+
- Weekly sessions over a 12-week program
- Hands-on cooking activities and kid-friendly recipes
- Builds teamwork, sharing, and communication skills
- Encourages problem-solving and following directions

Getting To Our Preschool
Our Austell center is located at 3947 Hicks Rd, Austell, GA 30106, on the east side of Hicks Rd just north of the East-West Connector. We proudly serve families from Austell, Mableton, Marietta, and Smyrna, and offer convenient after-school transportation to and from Russell Elementary School, making daily drop-offs, pickups, and sibling school transitions seamless.
Positioned right off the East-West Connector with fast access to Austell Rd (SR 5), South Cobb Dr, and Interstate 285, our location provides a smooth daily commute for working parents traveling toward Cumberland, Vinings, or downtown Atlanta.

Chelsee Gregory
School Director
Hi, I’m Chelsee Gregory. I’ve been a devoted wife for over five years and a proud, dedicated mom to two amazing children. My passion for early childhood education began in 2014, when I started my career as a one-year-old teacher. I quickly transitioned into the role of Center Director, where I’ve been able to lead with compassion, dedication, and a strong commitment to helping children learn, grow, and reach important developmental milestones.
Outside of work, I take great pride in being a supportive team sports mom and actively engaging in activities that support my children’s educational growth. In my free time, I enjoy shopping, cooking, and reading—each bringing joy and balance to my daily life.

Assistant Director
I’ve worked in early childhood education for over 11 years, a journey that has taught me so much and allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. My passion goes beyond ensuring each child’s safety and developmental progress; I am deeply committed to supporting their growth and helping them reach their fullest potential. Outside of work, I am a proud mother of two amazing boys and enjoy spending quality time with my family, watching movies, and continuing my education.

I was born and raised in Oakland, California. In 2019, I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where I’ve continued pursuing my passion for education. With over 20 years of teaching experience across all age groups, I joined Cadence Education in 2022 as an Assistant Teacher. By 2023, I was promoted to Lead Teacher in the three-year-old classroom — a role that has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. I’m honored to have been recognized as Teacher of the Year during my time at Cadence. As a teacher and a proud mother to a 12-year-old son, life stays busy, but no matter how full my schedule gets, I’m never too busy for the children I teach or my own child. When your child steps foot in my classroom, we become family — and I’m committed to helping each one of my students grow, thrive, and feel loved every step of the way.
