About Cadence Academy Preschool in Alpharetta, GA
Cadence Academy Preschool (formerly Peachtree Park Prep) offers an enriching and challenging preschool environment that lovingly prepares young children for future academic and professional success.
If you’re looking for a well-balanced preparatory experience that goes much deeper than typical daycare programming, you’ve come to the right place! Our preschool programs give our students a solid foundation in core subjects such as Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science, but we balance these activities with lots of fun and specialty instruction in Art, Music, Spanish & Chinese, and Physical Education.

Loving to Learn
Loving to Learn is a theme that runs through each and every class at Cadence Academy Preschool. Your child’s first educational experiences are extremely important because they shape how your child will respond to educational opportunities throughout their academic career. We have high academic standards at Cadence Academy Preschool, but we achieve them through exciting and engaging educational activities so our preschool students can naturally develop a love of learning.
Kind Child
Kind Child is a program that helps us focus on the development of character and social-emotional skill. We want every child to feel at home at our preschool and Kind Child is the perfect way for our students and staff to make kindness a habit. We work on social and emotional skills every month and a valuable character trait such as Thankfulness, Empathy, Respect, and a Positive Self-Image every two months. Our goal is to elevate the emotional well-being of every child in our care and enrich friendships!
Kids Café Preschool Cooking Program
Cooking Up Confidence, One Recipe at a Time
Kids Café is a hands-on cooking program where children explore new foods, build confidence, and develop essential life skills through fun, guided kitchen experiences.
Program Highlights:
- Designed for ages 3+
- Weekly sessions over a 12-week program
- Hands-on cooking activities and kid-friendly recipes
- Builds teamwork, sharing, and communication skills
- Encourages problem-solving and following directions

Getting to Our Preschool
Cadence Academy Preschool – North School is a block north of Old Milton Parkway (SR 120) in Alpharetta, Georgia. We’re next to Alpharetta Fire Station 84 on the east side of Park Bridge Parkway and our address is 225 Park Bridge Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30005. School Director
Our beautiful school opened in January of 1998 and my daughter and son were two of the very first students to walk through our doors! Fast forward to July 1998, I started working here as a Toddler Teacher, quickly moved to Assistant Director and have been the School Director for many many years. In my spare time I love to practice yoga, shop for the latest trends and spend time with my family! It has been so rewarding to stay connected with our families over the years. We have hired former students as teachers and even have our very first alumni baby enrolled at our school! Our lifelong motto of “loving to learn” is thriving in the community and it has been my honor to be a part of this journey!
Kelly Stirewalt
Assistant Director
I started at this school in February of 1999. I have been the School Age Director, Art Director, Preschool lead teacher and in 2021 became Assistant Director.
I consider myself a leader with the heart of a teacher. My hobbies and interests are spending time with friends and family, crafting, watching movies & telling jokes. I have been married to my husband since 1989 and I am proud mother of two and even prouder grandmother of 3. Every day I love to help guide and observe little minds grow and learn!

Teacher of the Year
I started working as a lunch lady in 2005 and then I was promoted to assist in the Toddler classroom. I learned how to adjust in the various classes and all age groups. It is rewarding to be a part of the kids lives and see their different personalities. I enjoy helping the children learn and create in the classroom. It makes me so happy to see the children achieve their goals. In my free time, I like to watch TV and spend time with my family. I also like to bake desserts and go shopping.
