The nurturing teachers and staff at Cadence Academy Preschool, Carmichael have been keeping young minds happily engaged for over 20 years. Our preschool’s programs are based on a skill-based approach to early education that balances academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
Our proprietary Ascend Curriculum has a connected framework that allows children to progressively build valuable skill sets across a variety of subjects as they progress through our daycare and preschool programs.
Our programs are built upon the idea that preschool children need much more than cognitive development during their first few years of life. If you’ve been looking at other daycare centers and preschools in the area, you’ve probably seen some programs that are all play and others where the curriculum is rigid and scheduled. Our curriculum meets in the middle and offers a balance of structure and flexibility. We want your child’s first educational experiences to be fun and engaging so they develop a love of learning that only grows over time.
Another significant part of our curriculum is our Kind Child program. Kind Child is a year-long program for children ages two and older that helps our teachers nurture and strengthen every child’s social and emotional skills. We have found that when we focus on the emotional well-being of each child in our care, we strengthen our school as well. We are confident that Kind Child will continue to strengthen the culture of our entire preschool center by elevating every child’s feelings of happiness, improving their well-being, and enriching their friendships.
Cadence Academy Preschool, Carmichael is conveniently located a block west of the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and El Camino Avenue. We’re on the north side of El Camino Ave next to Fitness Evolution and our address is 5739 El Camino Ave, Carmichael, CA 95608.
I graduated from Sacramento State University with a BA in Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I started working for Cadence in 2018 as a Toddler teacher and moved my way up to Assistant Director and then Director in 2021. Working with children has always been something that I felt passionate about. I love having the opportunity to watch children grow as they move though our school.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, our 3 children, and 2 dogs.
I graduated from Sonoma State University with a focus in Psychology. I love early childhood education because it brings me joy to watch young children learn and grow daily and has given me the opportunity to help guide many little ones through wonderful stages in life.
Prior to working for Cadence I was a nanny throughout college and in 2018 started at a small preschool in Reno, NV where I fell in love with Early Childhood Education.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping and backpacking. I also love reading books and being creative with various mediums.
I have been working with children since I was 16 years old. I started as a volunteer at my church in the children’s ministry. When I went to college, I studied American Sign Language and completed my AA, as well as my Early Childhood Education Certificate. Someday I would love to put together a program in special education for children and adults of all ages.
