School Director
Maria Hitt is the Director of Little Big Minds Preschool, where she brings passion, dedication, and leadership to a program rooted in cultural and language immersion. With a strong background in child development and behavioral support, Maria combines professional expertise with a deep commitment to nurturing the whole child.
Maria began her journey in early childhood education as a classroom teacher, where she spent four years guiding and inspiring young learners. Her hands-on experience in the classroom gave her deep insight into the needs of both children and families. Now in her third year as Director, Maria leads with empathy, understanding, and a clear vision for high-quality, inclusive education. As a bilingual educator and advocate, Maria is proud to share her language and culture with the children and families in her care. She believes that early exposure to diverse experiences builds empathy, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Maria values the importance of strong relationships with families and the broader community, believing that meaningful connections are key to a child’s success. She takes pride in creating an environment where parents feel welcomed, supported, and involved. By fostering a sense of partnership and trust, Maria helps build a foundation that supports not only the child’s growth—but the strength and unity of the community.
